1-0-0-1-0-0-1
Anyone here have an MXR Dyna Comp with the on/off LED? I have one without the footswitch and LED and want to put them back in, but need to know how it's wired. I can take a good guess but I'd rather have confirmation. Anyone here have one and are willing to open it up and check it out? I'll email you a cookie.

1-0-0-1-0-0-1
QUOTE (LakesideMaiden @ Aug 18 2009, 01:16 PM) Check this out: http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/dynacomp.gif Yeah, I came across that one too. I don't think that's the schem for the actual MXR unit, but rather someone's copy of it. Also, mine has the LED and isn't true bypass, which is different than that one. But I do thank you for the effort.

It might be easier to do a search that way...?

Serial is 2-065424 This unit is from (I believe) the early '80s, when they first started putting LEDs in them. I either find the new ones like you guys have found, clones that are wired differently, or the really old ones.

Just a thought - maybe email jim dunlop about it and see if they can send you schematics? techsupport@jimdunlop.com
jdouglas
This site does mods and talks about the 4 different wiring diagrams for the dyna comp.... http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mods.html http://www.monteallums.com/Dyna_Vintage.jpg http://www.monteallums.com/Dyna_Rev_D.jpg or, try searching ebay, people sometimes show the guts to prove something is vintage...here is a one for ex. 80s MXR - No LED though
