DallasRUSHian
I recently got to play on a Roland JC-120, and I now understand the hype. They really are awesome sounding, solid state amps. I wish I knew which parts of songs Alex has used his on.
rushfanNlv
From what I remember reading, all of Madrigal was the JC-120.
Prince Sphinc-Tor
I had a JC-120H which was just the amp head...it really was a great sounding amp. I was running it through a couple of 2X12 cabs with celestions. It was about the cleanest clean sounding amp out there, but it was hard to get any real bottom end out of it. The first time I played the opening chord to Prelude (Hemispheres), on a it, I just about crapped...that was the tone..what a great sounding amp, but I sold it 'cuz I just didn't use it as much as I should have. Great amp.
mrbarlint
Great amp!!! I used one as my main gigging amp back in the late 80's. Plenty of U2, The Police, The Alarm, etc. Super cleans and a fantastic chorus. You will need effects for anything dirty. Wish I still had it. Got stolen from our studio.
