MakeHaste
Connery by a nose... ... If that nose was Pinocchio's after he said Connery wasn't the best bond! But seriously, Connery is the obvious choice here (for me anyways). You just can't beat the original Bond! He pulled the Bond movies off like a hat. Just can't replace his shoes. But, since everyone else is listing their favorites in a certain order, then I will too. 1) Connery. 2) Moore. Moore was good because I think he brought more wit into it, and thats refreshing (what a horrible cliche, but who cares enough?). To put it a good way, he was the Sammy Hagar of the Bond films, if the Bond movies were Van Halen, and if Sean Connery was the David Lee Roth. The original is the best, but the one who took his place was the best to do so. my major gripes where that he wasn't physical enough (meaning that he didn't use his Judo like Connery did, not that he didn't "get down" with any women, because I think he had his fair share ). The other thing is that he didn't look as suave as Connery, which is a major factor in Bond. 3) Dalton. Now, I know you guys are thinking that I am crazy, putting him number three, but I think he was a good Bond, and I give him credit. He was certainly a "Newer" style of Bond when he was featured as Him, and he did a good job capturing the spirit of Bond, doing a better job at it than Brosnan, but thats next. 4) Brosnan. Ok, the 90's version. IMO, he was a little too a-holish for me, he kind looked like a jerk. Despite that, though, he was an acceptable Bond, I suppose. I'll keep him simple. Next! 5) Lazenby. For you VH fans, I think Lazenby was the Gary Cherone of the Bonds movies. When I saw FHMSS, I thought he was a good idea, he looked good, but it was a WTF moment for everybody. All I have left to say about him is: "Eh." The remaining three are unknown for me. I haven't seen any of their movies yet, but Ill check them out sooner or later. Until then, thank you for reading the longest reply I have made on this forum.

Der Trommler
QUOTE (ReRushed @ Aug 24 2007, 11:46 AM) QUOTE (condemned2bfree @ Aug 24 2007, 07:53 AM) Gotta question. Does anyone know the first real 007? History Buffs May know this, as its out of popular culture. Barry Nelson in the 1954 television production of Casino Royale, part of the television series Climax!. There was a remake movie of Casino Royale done by David Niven. He was, in some books, considered the first Bond because it was the first big screen? I don't know. Someone who was a Bond buff told me that one which is why I have that stuck in my brain.... JDL2112
Thanks everyone for writing in! What's ironic for me is that while I do like Pierce as Bond, I have always found Connery as an excellent actor, and I really liked his portrayals in The Untouchables and in The Hunt for Red October...in fact, most movies he's in really work for me and I find to be a top notch actor! In fact, I would say that he really makes The Untouchables a better movie...I don't know if I would believe anyone else in the role he played.
