RUSHHEAD666
Nice George A. Romero homage by Steven Wilson on the new record. I may be stretching things a bit like bleeding intestines or stringy ligaments from a human body zombie dinner but hey, "Dawn Of The Dead" is the best zombie movie every made. I know there are a ton of them out there. I own most of them. I know I type all the time about RUSH and MUSIC but there is something that many of you don't know. I am also a HORROR JUNKY. I should have stock in ANCHOR BAY! LOL! Anyway, I came across these lyrics tonight from the Porcupine Tree song "Anesthetize." You know Rush fans, the song with the Alex Lifeson guitar solo. So it seems that Steven is paying homage to "Dawn Of The Dead." Nothing wrong with that!! "We're lost in the mall, shuffling through the stores like zombies. What is the point? What can money buy?" I hope George has one more zombie film in him. How about "Land Of The Dead II: The Mall Revisited" ROMERO RULES! Sincerely, Lucio Fulci
Stormtron
Romero's movies rule and I have several of the shirts, but my favorite zombie movie has gotta be Return of the Living Dead. "Send more paramedics." and 45 Grave ruled. PARTY TIME!
RUSHHEAD666
Nice Storm! I agree but I have never seen 45 Grave. Is it on dvd? Since this is a video thread I remember watching a George Lucas interview about "The Hidden Fortress" and how he based "Star Wars" on it. Well George said that there are alway 32 plots in Hollywood you just have to choose one and be creative. After hearing that I always wanted to write a zombie movie with the working title of "PLOT 33" You know because A) It's a different plot that Hollyweird has to offer and Plot 33 would actually be a headstone in a graveyard, hence the first zombie to rise from the grave. Oh well just a late night idea. Goodnight. Don't let the undead bite........................................ Stormtron
45 Grave was a horror punk band that did the song "Party Time" from RotLD. http://agonyshorthand.blogspot.com/45autops.jpg I'm a sucker for stupid shit. I like your idea too. I always thought I could make the funniest zombie movie ever...then I saw Braindead/Dead Alive. http://www.obscurehorror.com/deadalive2.jpg One of the best comedies ever! I miss this Peter Jackson.
Mustard Death
I'm not so sure Wilson was referring to Dawn of the Dead with that line... seems more like some wankery prog rock line about how the world sucks. Anyways, I'm gonna have to disagree with you and say that Night of the Living Dead is Romero's best zombie film. As for best zombie movie of all time, I can't say. I haven't really seen enough of them to make a fair judgement.

It is an incredible flick. "They're coming to get you Barbara!" My all time favorite horror flick is "HALLOWEEN!" I can't believe Rob Zombie is doing the remake with John Carpenter's blessing. I saw the trailer though and I must say that it does look interesting. I will go to the theater for that one! Sincerely, Dr. Loomis
Mustard Death
Yeahh... I love both the original Night and the colour remake. Both were incredible. Well, I loved the first Halloween, and I gotta say, when I heard Rob Zombie (who made the INCREDIBLY BAD Devil's Rejects... and let's not forget it's prequel, House of 1,000 Corpses... ) was making it, I wanted to cry... I haven't seen any previews yet though, so I dunno.

Stormtron
Gotta love Fulci's Zombie. Come on, there's a shark vs. zombie fight scene. I bought these shirts from Rotten Cotton: http://rottencotton.com/shirts/horror/311_ultimatezombie.gif http://rottencotton.com/shirts/horror/302_braindead.jpg
RUSHHEAD666
Hey guys! I totally agree with both of you. I have both of those dvds! The cool thing Storm is that I bought a used ZOMBIE movie on Anchor Bay from a guy who knew Lucio's daughter. She signed the paper insert in gold pen, "To Earl, thank you my friend, Antonella Fulci" It's awesome!! Did you guys like "Land Of The Dead?" I did! I hope Romero has one more him him!! PS: Nice shirts! I love BRAINDEAD too!
Stormtron
I liked Land of the Dead a lot. I didn't really understand the mostly negative reviews it got from the fans, but I guess it was because it seemed more like an action movie with zombies. Who cares, it rocked, and speaking of horror directors daughters...Asia Argento who was in Land of the Dead...HELLO! I wouldn't even bother with Zombi 3 (Zombie's original title was Zombi 2, which was an unofficial sequel to Dawn of the Dead which was called Zombi in Italy...WTF?!!). Anyway, Fulci is credited as director of Zombi 3, but most of it was directed by Bruno Mattei, and it's pretty boring.

Who cares, it rocked, and speaking of horror directors daughters...Asia Argento who was in Land of the Dead...HELLO! Good knowledge there! Dario is another excellent director! It seems we are all Zombie Lovers here! I have all of those "Zombi"movies too! I think there are four of them! Alright I have a zombie movie for you guys! Check it out!! I loved it. It's called "Zombie Honeymoon." Classic!! Right on "Dawn Of The Deadwing!" It's the best and I HATED the "Dawn Of The Dead" remake. So speaking about zombies again, I really hope that Rob Zombie doesn't botch the "Halloween" remake!
