Shranexis0
Someone on this forum told me the best way to duplicate Peart's synth drums is to tweak acoustic drum recordings. Now, since I don't know how to record, and I'd much rather deal with WAVS and such, what are some suggestions on how to make these sounds? Are there any good drum samples and tweaking programs out there?
CygnusX-1Bk2
It's all related. You are obviously curious about this stuff. I suggest you take a class about recording and synthesis. At the very least read a book or 2. I suggest Modern Recording Techniques by David Miles Huber. It covers all aspects of audio, recording and synthesis. Many junior colleges have such courses. The questions you ask are pretty open ended and take paragraphs to answer as there are no real simple answers to these questions.
