Rod, I hope that you heal quickly!

Yup! Our family is triple/(some 4 x)  vaxxed and 4 out of 6 of us have symptoms and tested positive this week.  We went to an extended family memorial service last Saturday; it was a bunch of people in a small room with people from all over the East Coast, not the best decision but we kind of had to go.  My husband and I are vaxxed, wore KN95 masks the whole time and still got it. We felt like we had been hit by a truck on Monday.

What an odd feeling.  It was half like having the flu (achy, fever) and half like being drunk (wooziness, dizziness, brain fog, bed spins). It lasted 3 days and the Dr. told us that 3 days is a very mild case.  It felt gross.  Yesterday and today are good, although we are still kind of tired. (not gonna be a wild weekend.)

The worst part was that my daughter in law is  diabetic and last night her fever spiked to 103.8. (39.8).   Allie was rushed to the ER and they admitted her overnight, to stabilize her fever and blood sugar.(She was released late this afternoon and is doing well, thankfully). Again, this from an otherwise pretty mild case!

Ugh!  Take this seriously!  Rod, I hope you are feeling better this weekend!

Sorry to hear that, and hope your daughter-in-law feels better soon. I had a good day, and being able to sleep in the afternoon made things better. I think/hope I'll be ok by Sunday. To be honest, the whole time I traveled this week I only wore a mask where it was absolutely mandatory - on the plane. But we'll see...I'm glad I caught the mild version of it, and in  few days my immune system will be in top shape!

  2. EJ is one of my top 3 favorite guitarists. I've seen him 8 times, met him a few, and absolutely cherish every song he has ever released. I will admit that I had not heard him until Ah Via Musicom was released, but instantly purchased Tones, and the rest is history. Very excited for the 2 album release this summer.

I'm currently sitting on front row tickets for his new tour that's been postponed twice.

You're gonna love his two albums, man!!!!

  3. Eric was the last show I saw before covid shut everything up, and I have a special place for him in my heart, since I listened to his albums Venus Isle, Tones and Ah! Via Musicom A LOT when I was graduating from college. Now he has not one, but TWO albums in the bag, to be released on July 29th: The Book of Making and Yesterday Meets Today. I can't wait for it, and I hope I get a chance to interview him!

  4. He skipped the one about DT and the one about the Rush albums after his tenure...sorry to disappoint you, man. But the other responses were really great.

I kinda figured he wouldn’t want to talk about DT.

I have a feeling that this is the reason why he wanted to do an email interview, as opposed to a recorded one.

  5. I'll tell you the story about how I met Terry...it was totally unexpected! I was in Montreal with my family on the day that Cinema Strangiato was going to happen, and our flight back to Toronto was going to be at night, so I wouldn't be able to attend. My wife didn't want to wait for the flight, and said "you know what? If we get on a train now, we'll be back home mid-afternoon. I'll get us tickets". Off we went, and now I could attend Cinema Strangiato. I looked for tickets, and the session at Dundas Square was sold out. Luckily, another Rush fan reached out to me on Facebook and said "I have a ticket, but won't be able to make it. It's yours for free". I went there and met many friends at the event. On the way out, one of them said "man, you just missed Terry...he went down those stairs a second ago!". I rushed downstairs, and exited the theater. Luckily, he was outside chatting with a friend, who kindly volunteered to take our picture:

  6. I sent everything to him on Saturday...if he decides not to respond this will be a MAJOR flop.

He's nuts if he doesn't want to correspond with you! Your interviews are always so well done and thoughtful. (And of course I thought of another question today   But it wasn't an earth shaking one.)

Wow, that's quite a compliment! Thank you!

My first message to him was in 2019, and he agreed to record an interview but then disappeared. Only recently when I decided to follow up, he said he'd answer to the questions in writing. Let's hope he replies soon...
