  1. It probably makes more sense to to MP this year than last year only because the album will be 30 years old in Feb (I think). We saw them in Allentown over the summer. Really good show but we're also going to MSG and will be in a spot where we can see the entire stage production. The only thing I hope is that they switch out a tune or two.
  2. QUOTE (WorkingMan2112 @ Jan 6 2011, 02:58 PM) Does anyone know if this works at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore? Your best bet is to call the arena and see if they have any kind of policy on fan mail. Some places are better than others.
  3. QUOTE (garyg7133 @ Dec 18 2010, 10:31 AM)MSG is not sold out. They have 300's and 400's remaining. Sleeper though is to select "promenade box seats" They are actually on the 300 level, they are their own row and they're at the 400 level price ($62.90). They will show as section " north " which is simply the north side of the arena. I got mine yesterday. As of this morning, section 342 was the "best available" by TM standards and if you select the 400 level it was almost behind the stage on Alex's side. Oh yeah!
  4. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Nov 29 2010, 03:26 PM)QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Nov 29 2010, 02:31 PM) QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Nov 29 2010, 03:10 PM) the only "very special" thing I can imagine is them filming the show for the DVD. You're right, they never change up the show at all for any one venue. Closest they came to doing that was adding CTTH for South American shows in 2002. I agree with you Bro...if the "very special" actually means something, I think your idea of the DVD being filmed there is probably the safest bet. or it could mean they're replacing Camera Eye with Tai Shan... Holy crap that was funny.
  5. That is a fantasic photo from Red Rocks.
  6. Got mine back yesterday from Atlanta as well. Sa-weeeeet!!! The photo itself was one I found from Allentown in August. Makes it even nicer that I was at the show. Also sent the guys a few photos to keep for themselves, which they did. http://photos.sportscollectors.net/94013.jpg
  7. I think one thing to keep in mind is that some venues are better at sorting fan mail than others. My buddy sent a picture to Allentown. He figured since he lives in Bethlehem that he had a good shot. Personally, I feel it's all about how you send it, what you're sending and a little bit of luck. He still hasn't gotten back anything from Allentown. My gut says he won't because it just seemed like a very unorganized place. I"ve got an 8x10 I"m sending out. Will probably get it out no later than one week prior to the show date.
  8. QUOTE (Supersyl @ Sep 2 2010, 10:12 PM) QUOTE (Finding IT @ Sep 1 2010, 12:02 PM) QUOTE (rushfan676 @ Aug 31 2010, 11:03 PM) I was really the only person rocking out where I was standing too. I was dead center right in front of the soundboard. Here's my favorite picture I took tonight, Alex looks like he is thinking how the hell do I work this thing: http://i883.photobucket.com/albums/ac39/redsoxguy676/P1000461.jpg I'll upload the rest of my photo's tomorrow, so you guys can have a look, I think a lot of them turned out alright. This is actually a pretty rare photo, taken during "Time Stand Still." Alex always plays a Gibson for Time Stand Still on this tour but there was a problem with Gibson so the roadie handed him the Tele. It sounded different, too. Alex plays a Paul Reed Smith on TSS, the only song he uses one. The wireless on the PRS crapped out on him before they got started. He needed to make a quick change for TSS and the Tele is next best thing to get that twangy sound.
  9. Thought the show was great. Wasn't too thrilled with the seating layout on the floor. When looking at a seating chart, we were section G and row 2. In reality, with the sections angled, we had and entire section pretty much in front of us. So needless to say that was a let down, but the sound was very clear. Had a speaker bank right above us. Sound wasn't muddy at all. Was there with two really good friend of mine. We're huge fans but didn't do much "rockin' out". Main reason is that all three of us play music together (guitar, bass and drums) and we actually stand there looking at how they're playing they're parts and it blows us away. We have attempted R30 as a band and have gotten through it once or twice but to play it and then see how these guys have mastered their craft is just mind blowing.
  10. There was only one way in (I think) in Allentown. You could have brought anything in at all. No one checked anything. Took a few decent pics and video.
  11. Will be second row on Alex's side for the show. Never have been there before. Does anyone know how the stage and seating are set up? I believe the fair itself is "outside" the main field/track/oval area on the parking lot. Just curious to find out how the show itself will be set up. Thanks!
