  1. I thought Geddy mentioned they tried AFTK when determining a setlist for S&A and he couldn't do it. I also don't see, Stick it Out in that set. And, as stated, CTTH as the closer?
  2. QUOTE (TheBluePhoenix @ Jun 28 2010, 08:02 AM)I wish there was a policy on this board where people who were found to be flat out lying about concert details would be kicked off. And what if everything they allude to, while receiving flack, checks out? I have a feeling FOH is going to be on TRF Wednesday....just like any other day. If he's right, I'm bettin' he won't get one, "You were right!" from those who've claimed he's a fraud/doesn't know what he's talking about/a troll/wishful thinker. I hope I am wrong. That's a bet I won't be mind losing. I also don't take him as the type that's going to bring it up afterwards if he is.
  3. Very nice, TSOR. Congrats!! Love to see the 'younger' crew getting into this band.
  4. Waking up on a comfortable bed in an air-conditioned home and having coffee and breakfast with my wife ...I am blessed beyond comprehension.
  5. Well, how cool is that? THANKS for posting these pics!! Glad you got to be there to witness.
  6. QUOTE (RushNut @ Jun 25 2010, 12:50 PM) I prefer to lay on my side. Dang it! Why didn't I think of that one!!?
  7. It's a LIVE concert, not a tennis match. Are you kidding me? STAND! SING! CLAP! SWAY! HEADBOB!! PUMP FISTS! All that good stuff. Unless, of course, they play The Larger Bowl...then you sit in your chair and sulk.
  8. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jun 25 2010, 08:13 AM) QUOTE (Soni @ Jun 25 2010, 06:59 AM) I just don't get Muse, it's strange, I should like them. I just don't... it's strange! Same with me. A lot of friends like them and people here seem to really dig them, but I can't get into it. They seem to put on a good show for their fans though, props for that at least. I get why others don't like them. They are certainly different and far more theatrical in their music and their shows than most bands. Bellamy has an aria (not sure if that is the right term) type of sound in his singing on a lot of their songs. It gets a bit long in the tooth for some, but I like it. I like the combo of opera and rock together for something unique and they do it pretty well. Of course, they also flat out jam in places as well.
  9. I just don't see what Score or FOH would have to gain by being so assured of what they know if it's wrong/false. Logically, that dog don't hunt. So, why don't they just post the entire setlist? 1. They may not know the entire setlist and only know generally what to 'expect' - i.e., the amount of songs to be played from S&A, for instance. 2. Even if they do know the setlist, song-for-song, if you were the source of their info and found out they posted a song-for-song setlist in an online forum for the WORLD to view before the tour, would you ever trust them with tour information again? I wouldn't. Logically, that dog does hunt! Lastly, I never sensed a, "I'm posting this because I know more than you" attitude. With the exception of the "shoving" comment - it's mostly been, "Yeah, I know. I'm a little disappointed too about xxxx" or "Thankfully, nothing from xxxxx." I'm with Score Out/FOH Lights on this one. They've made a believer outta me. We'll know for sure in less than a week.
  10. QUOTE (cygnus_thegodofbalance @ Jun 23 2010, 01:15 PM) Possible songs: Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta YYZ Limelight The Camera Eye Witch Hunt Vital Signs Stick It Out Closer to the Heart Jacob's Ladder Caravan BU2B Superconductor Malignant Narcissism I would think Far Cry would be a pretty safe bet to add as well.
  11. With the Time Machine Tour now upon us, I, for one, will be buying a package of HEAROS as per the advice of a few others on this forum - FOH Lights being one. At $13-$20 for a package, it's worth a try! At 45...with a mild case of tinnitus already, I welcome anything that will help to prevent making it worse. If they are as good as claimed, I'll wish I'd found this product years ago. Just a little FYI. Not my idea, but, I think a good word to pass along to others for consideration. It seems there are several kinds, it is my understanding that the "High Fidelity" ones are best. HEAROS < this is the Musican's Friend link (with reviews), but it looks to me that you can buy them at Walgreen's and perhaps your local music store as well.
  12. QUOTE (GeddyLeefan2112 @ Jun 23 2010, 10:28 AM) Starlight: Great song OR greatest song? Discuss. (bump)
  13. QUOTE (Mandalorian Hunter @ Mar 14 2010, 02:24 PM) And here's a cool video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0zFarYxo3A YES!!!
  14. I don't think a lip-synch is necessary. If it's so dang high (and it is) SURELY there is a lower octave he can come down to - that's what "harmony" is all abou! Or, take Cygnus X-1, for instance, if it just HAS to be THAT high...then, it wouldn't bother me at all if they simply overlayed his "younger" voice in the background and played the frickin' song! If that's what it took to hear Hemispheres (Book II) or Something for Nothing or Cygnus again...it wouldn't bother me a bit. But, I realize I am probably in the minority on that.
  15. a chunk of cold, (previously) grilled NY strip and a banana pepper
  16. QUOTE (tick @ Mar 14 2010, 06:06 PM)don't even know who they are. I didn't either until about eighteen months ago...now I'm a fan - especially after seeing them in concert - WOW! It's hard to describe their sound, but they definitely have Queen-type rock opera elements throughout - especially the newer stuff. One of the great things about seeing them live, aside from the spectacular lighting/graphics show they've become known for, is at the end of maybe 5 or 6 songs, they'll go off on a little 1.5-2 minute prolonged 'nasty' jam session that is just great to watch and listen to. Like Rush, they take their music seriously, but not themselves and they like to have fun with it all. ONE OF THEIR HEADBANGERS
