  1. Metal guitars....metal drums... Equal Metal Music.... ... ...
  2. I have seen Jethro Tull six times and Yes ten times and they have both always gone in to the vault and played older tunes with an almost chronological approach.
  3. They're more popular than Everlasting Gobstoppers because they actually grow.

  6. QUOTE (Kenneth @ Jul 1 2010, 01:27 AM) SET 1 THE SPIRIT OF RADIO TIME STAND STILL PRESTO STICK IT OUT WORKIN' THEM ANGELS LEAVE THAT THING ALONE FAITHLESS BU2B FREE WILL MARATHON SUBDIVISIONS I'm okay with BU2B but am right with you on the first set. Good smilie analogy...spot on.
  7. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jul 1 2010, 01:29 AM)QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Jul 1 2010, 01:13 AM) can I add a "Neil sucks" to this thread? That goes without saying... Say it...don't spray it.
  8. QUOTE (Kenneth @ Jul 1 2010, 01:08 AM)QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Jun 30 2010, 08:26 PM) Bending the rules a bit by taking any song performed in medley format and making it however I want to. Still my attempt at representing every Rush album. Kind of thrown together without much thought about flow and stuff, I could make a better one if I felt like it. Three Stooges Intro Tom Sawyer Force Ten Freewill Digital Man Hemispheres: Prelude The Trees Witch Hunt Armor and Sword Entre Nous Ghost of a Chance The Pass New World Man The Big Money Bravado YYZ/Bastille Day (intro riff teaser) Intermission Limelight Vital Signs Ghost Rider Between Sun and Moon Subdivisions Between the Wheels Closer to the Heart Leave That Thing Alone! Drum Solo Resist (acoustic) Natural Science The Spirit of Radio > 2112: Overture (original key) > A Passage to Bangkok > Working Man Encore: By-Tor and the Snow Dog > Xanadu I'll take what he's having. Serve me some of that set list pie. I usually lean towards the old school stuff in my set list dreaming but your set Xanadu93 is one of the best dream sets I have seen, or dreamed. I might make a play list of that for those 'everything they ever played since VT type of day'.
  9. I am really warming up to the set list now. There were a few songs I wasn't too thrilled about at first but after a few more listens and debates with my friends I totally okay with it. To see 4 songs never played live and the MP thing, along with Marathon and La Villa I am happy. I wish it was that easy for all RUSH fans to embrace this set list and to enjoy it. I'm thinking they only have about 4 or 5 tours left in them.....so enjoy....be happy.
  10. That last set of photos are amazing. Professional quality and coming from the 'fan in the audience' perspective gives them a more magical allure. I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of RUSH pictures, and your photos are as inspiring and entertaining to me as any. Thanks for sharing.
  11. A fascinating and riveting thread. A positive, delightful and non RUSH bashing experience. I may never leave this thread. I feel spoiled.
  12. It's alright. It is not my favorite song from CP but Stick It Out is still a rockin tune.
  13. After a recall adjustment, Ms. Toyota demonstrates the new improved side air bags.
  14. Thanks everyone for all for the updates. Despite all the complainers I am very excited about seeing them in August. The set list is okay with me. There are some great surprises: Time Stand Still, Presto, Marathon, Faithless and with MP and La Villa....I for one am happy with the list. It will be my 20th show...they could play Tai Shan, Carve Away The Stone or Rivendell and I would soak up the live RUSH experience all the same.
  15. QUOTE (Ron2112 @ Jun 29 2010, 08:53 PM) QUOTE (LotusLand @ Jun 29 2010, 08:51 PM) What was on RIAB will be the show. God what an awful 1st set. So much to pick from and to pick WTA, Faithless, and SIO. Absolutely pathetic I was wondering how long before one of these posts. Surprised it took this long. Do yourself and us a favor and leave then. Go to bed if you don't like it. The rest us will enjoy it.
  16. QUOTE (Prime Mover and Shaker @ Jun 29 2010, 08:51 PM) TRF is hampered, but CP is smashed. I think I'll hang out here! Awesome so far! Go to bed. The rest of us will enjoy.
  17. Time is standing still...if you are in San Diego waiting for the Irvine show Aug. 13th. Love that song.
  18. QUOTE (Phall2112 @ Jun 29 2010, 07:08 PM)i am glad i didnt buy a ticket. even though faithless and presto are 2 of my favs. You are glad? That you did not buy a ticket. What are you doing on this forum? I am very glad to see them and anything they play ....is music to my ears.
  19. WOW!!!!! It's getting close now..... New Mexico Oh wouldn't you please welcome.......RUSH!!!!!!!!!!
  20. QUOTE (Faithless Mover @ Jun 29 2010, 12:11 AM)The band will play what they want to play. We will like it. We will stand for the entire show. We will clap and cheer. We will be sad when the show is over. We will buy the DVD. We will look forward to the next tour. We will hope we live long enough, and the boys tour long enough, so that we may each hear and see our "grail" songs performed. I'll sign it....make it Law. addendum: We will enjoy all songs (to some degree) because we are at a RUSH concert and even though we may not prefer a particular song over another one, we can live vicariously through other RUSH fans who absolutely love that particular song......and our 'grail' band is playing so the set list doesn't matter as much as we pretend it does. Ben Franklin
  21. QUOTE (Ghost of a Rider @ Jun 28 2010, 06:35 PM) The other side of the sign says: * No shit-eating grins * No smoking * No bicycling * No dumping WINNER!!! That is funny stuff.
  22. I am rehearsing standing up and screaming out loud for my Aug. 13th show...I've almost got it down.
  23. Those photos were a ride in a TIME MACHINE. Great stuff!!! Welcome to the party...it's just getting started.
  24. Marathon, La Villa,Time Stand Still, MP and the new stuff. Wow!! If I could tweak that set list just a little (ANTHEM or Bastille day) it would be perfect for me.
