  4. QUOTE (raptorcox @ Feb 16 2010, 05:26 PM) Welcome and thanks for bumping my welcome thread. A gracious welcome aboard as I'm a newbie brand new too. Have fun
  5. Moving Pictues is where it is based mainly on the my love of the song *The Camera Eye*. An odd thing the first time I REALLY heard *The Camera Eye*. I was pumped and getting ready for my first concert yes *Grace Under Pressure* tour. Before the show my friends and I had indulged in some pre-game festivities and feeling fine. I was alone in the car (passenger seat) waiting for friends to come. I cranked up MP on cassette and the beginning of TCE comes on with the horns. I almost broke my neck trying to find out who the hell is beeping me for being in a parked car. I wasn't till a bit later i noticed it was just the fricking song that I calmed down. I was pumped cause I did get into it at the show when some buffoon tried unsuccessfully to steal my GUP tour shirt. They paid the price I must say, man the stupid things you do when you're young. Peace
  6. *Grace Under Pressure* for me, it seems i can never put it down. Then *Vapor Trails* followed my *Moving Pictures* then *2112*
  7. By far *Exit Stage Left* both in dvd and cd. I've listened to it so much I think I'm going back and give more of an ear to *Different Stages*

I'm off to explore som more. ENJOY! Peace Welcome, g under p! Make sure you check out this thread: http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?showtopic=33258 I agree I'll take care of it. I thought it was too big but i saw others with some large ones so I'll do my best to reduce this one. Give me a few minutes. Thanks keeping with the TRF format. When ya don't know ya just don't know. Man I wish had found this place 5 years ago, then again I wouldn't have been able to accomplish much. Peace
  9. WELCOME aboard I'm a newbie too. I just found this section of this tremendous board. I'm off to explore som more. ENJOY! From my first post... QUOTE Hello everyone my first post here, there is so much to take in but this site is awesome. I found about this site from a poster on the Pearl Jam site where I'm *g under p* there too and other music site some where I'm a moderator. I'm known as the rush guy there and I've been a fan since 2112. Saw my first show in Hampton, Va the Grace Under Pressure Tour. I've only missed one tour since then the Test For Echo Tour of some 40+ shows I've seen over the years. Yes it's my favorite album along with some other things what *g under p* stands for. I'm sure some of you fanatics have seen this but I liked this video for what it is artistic. YYZ.....Rush A little something from me to you and for those who haven't seen it. I hope to learn all that I can from all of you. BTW where do some of you get those great avatars and animated gif's images? Thanks for hearing me out. Peace Peace

With the exception of "Kid Gloves". Otherwise it's easily their darkest effort. Interesting because that's my favorite album.... Earthshine and The Camera Eye .....maybe I'm just a dark chap in nature. Grace Under Pressure is one of my favorite albums as well, and I disagree with people who say it's dark. All the songs on it lift my spirit except for Red Sector A.. So judging by that, 2112 could be their darkest too because it has "Tears" on it. And I can see how some of the lines in Between The Wheels, Afterimage, and other songs here and there can have a sad line; but the music is too good to make me think of it anywhere close to dark. I never really thought of the album as being dark either except for Red Sector A. To me it's one of the easiest listening albums I can listen to and that is from beginning to end. Peace
  11. QUOTE (Per2112 @ Feb 13 2010, 03:58 PM) Spirit of Radio, Freewill and Making Memories always lift me up. And of course... http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee252/nezperz/closerheart_01.gif Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!!! Very Nice indeed

  13. This being my favorite RUSH album, the one that stands by it self has to be RED SECTOR A My daughter and I just visited the Holocaust museum and received my second insite as to what happened there. The first was this song and the haunting lyrics it has provided over the years. Ragged lines of ragged grey Skeletons, they shuffle away Shouting guards and smoking guns Will cut down the unlucky ones I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed A wound that will not heal A heart that cannot feel Hoping that the horror will recede Hoping that tomorrow we'll all be freed Sickness to insanity Prayer to profanity Days and weeks and months go by Don't feel the hunger Too weak to cry Peace
