  1. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ May 19 2008, 12:54 PM)That's like saying that a woman who dresses provocatively invites lewd comments, and that those comments are okay because she wouldn't dress that way if she didn't want the attention. Warning #1: Before anyone gets offended, this response is tongue-in-cheek; GG's post just made me think of it. Warning #2: Those sensitive to language should not click this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAh0q8CegVM You don't have to watch the whole thing. The part I'm referring to is from 7:45 until the end. Feel free to skip right there.

    "Xanadu" Vinyl

QUOTE (third hand grace @ Feb 11 2008, 04:44 PM) her version SUCKS I'm not endorsing it. I'm just saying that this pic kinda fits the general description. I'm hoping there'd be no confusion between the 2, but you never know.

    "Xanadu" Vinyl

Xanadu? White background? Hair appearing possibly to be in flames? Please say it ain't so. http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/MG/184685~Xanadu-Posters.jpg
  5. QUOTE (Room 34 @ Sep 17 2007, 08:38 PM) I think that goes along with the shriek in "Cygnus X-1". Random high-pitched screeches are not really singing. They're not random screeches. Although it may not be as clear as other lyrics, he says Spinning, whirling, still descending Like a spiral sea unending Sound and fury drown my heart Every nerve is torn apart.... They're words, no matter how high they are.
  6. QUOTE (Guitarguy555 @ Sep 15 2007, 01:44 PM)"Flew into the LIGHT OF DENON" Denon is the manufacturer of CD players and other audio video equipment. The star to which he's referring is Deneb. Subtle difference, I know, but I wouldn't want you to make a public faux pas confusing the 2.
  7. If you count it as meeting, I met Geddy at the signing tour for MFH. It wasn't like an indepth conversation or anything.
  8. I don't know the story behind it, but it doesn't look like a trick on Geddy's part. It looks like Geddy's ready to sing and looks over at Alex because he missed his cue. A second later, Alex starts playing, and Geddy catches up. While it could be something different, it looks like Alex's fault, which would explain why Geddy points his thumb at him, as if to say "his fault."
  9. This one has a little better quality, as it's pro shot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgZFJkraCRU...related&search=
  10. It's certainly not a lyrical breakthrough, but I dig it. It's fun to play, and sometimes that makes me like a song. In this case, that's not the determining factor; I liked it before I learned how to play it.

    Scars

QUOTE (Broncos730 @ Aug 26 2005, 08:46 AM) Is there a remastered version out there??? Is it worth picking up? Yes and yes, IMO. And if you like the song, listen to Neil's solos since Presto. He has incorporated a lot of Scars into them. You're never truly without the song.

    Neil Peart Q&A

What was up with his brief "It's a secret" answers? How odd for someone so well spoken, unless he just didn't really give merit to the question. It kinda reminded me of the David Byrne self interview on the Stop Making Sense DVD where half his answers were "I'll tell you later."
