  3. QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Jun 24 2009, 02:53 AM) QUOTE (Miss Amy @ Jun 20 2009, 01:01 PM) Sheeeit I have so many favourite actors... starting with the lovely on muh sig. Buts my favourite Actress is Madeline Kahn she's brilliant!! http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv107/amyduprescollins/MISC/Madeline_Kahn.jpg Damn she was beautiful! "While the servant waits the masturbates." Two priceless Mel Brooks films that will withstand the test of time: "HISTORY OF THE WORLD PART I" and of course, "BLAZING SADDLES!" Sincerely, "ANAGRAM (For Mongo)" Whoops, can't forget "YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN!" Shit, Gene Wilder needs to be mentioned too! Remember "STIR CRAZY" and "SILVER STREAK?" Madeline is a priceless actress. I simply love her in Mel Brooks film. Seemed to always make me laugh
  4. Well I have a lot of favourite female singers but 2 are Maddy Prior (Steeleye Span) and Enya
  5. QUOTE (Tortoise and Hare @ Jun 23 2009, 08:25 PM) QUOTE (PanaceaFish @ Aug 6 2008, 01:08 AM) Shite, most of the links on the sites I have are no longer working, I don't think I'll find those themes, but I can keep trying! But I did find a pic of Collinwood I had saved: http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/174/collinwoodbh5.jpg This is the Carey Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island - - now part of Salve Regina University where I got my Masters. The building is perfectly preserved and wonderful!!! I just found this thread. I am thrilled!!! I have always adored Dark Shadows! I used to run home from school to catch every episode - - showing my age a bit, eh!?!?! Dark Shadows was one of my first inspirations into the Gothic World - - and I've stayed there! - - my students call me "GOTH FOR LIFE"!!! I still have Quentin's theme on an old 45 record - - just need a new turn-table to play it! DS was the best soap opera on television! When a character died, unlike on other shows, we always knew the actor would return in another form, time-zone or dimension!!! We all wanted Josette's hair, Daphne's mystery - - remember the smell of lilacs?!?, and Angelique's power! Barnabus' cane and ring - - Quentin's lambchop sideburns - - Willie's foolishness . . . . . . and we all learned to despise the nasty preacher, "Reverend" Trask!!! Great memories!!! Thanks! Hare I have too seen the mansion. Beautiful Building it is. It's wonderful to see Dark Shadows fan here. I have love the series for a long time. good times

  7. Me thinking of putting on a Marx Brothers film. Gots to love clean early 20s comedy
  8. QUOTE Yeah, I suppose so... I just watched the bit where Willie opens Barnabas' coffin, and gets grabbd by the throat, but with the shite monitor I have, it's awfully dark... Ah very important scene too. One thing was I am glad they switched actor with character of Willie. I always found that Karlen fit the character bettter. Hmmm hope there is another version that would work
  9. oh bugger... *sigh* well a lot of the older part of the series are found on YT but it's not in the best of quality Still its somthing.
  10. Yeah I have to admit that was rather annoying. Also it seemed like the series was running out of ideas quickly. Deffinatly didn't have the spark the original had.
  11. Yeah hehee its a wonder to live there. Schweett!!! Great finding!! Bravo you!!
  12. QUOTE (PanaceaFish @ Jun 20 2009, 04:51 PM) QUOTE (Miss Amy @ Jun 20 2009, 05:46 PM) QUOTE (PanaceaFish @ Jun 20 2009, 04:36 PM) I never seen the 91 series, but was addicted to the 60's series when it was being aired on the Sci-Fi channel... *sigh* I wish they'd bring it back... Yeah I miss it too. I have been re watching the 1960's series on YT that friends of mine have put up. I have heard that people ether loved the new series or hated it. I guess its just your take on it. Also the amount of people who I have talked to who have only seen the new series and no prior knowledge of the original is sad. I found the old DS thread that I made here, so I resurrected it from the dead, lol... I had no clue about the 91 version of the series, but then again, I'm more partial to the old one, even with the actors flubbing their lines and such, so I suppose I didn't miss much? I may have to check out those eps on TV.com, now.. Well the new series is different in many aspects and I guess if you have your heart set on the original like me you may not like it as much. Awesome guess I will meander over there since I am more familiar with the original. Good stuff in any case
  13. Ohhh YAY very awesome!! here is a picture of the old house. Always loved it!! http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv107/amyduprescollins/oldhouse.jpg

  15. I have ever since it has started enjoyed Robin Hood. Although I have my ups and downs with Jonas Armstrong but I personally was a drooling... fan of Sir Guy from the beginning and still am. All in all a great series me thinks. http://www.lizjohnsonbooks.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/robin-hood-season-1.jpg
