  1. QUOTE Check out that perfectly waxed 'stache in this one, too! I have to admit I prefer a clean-shaven Neil. In fact I prefer a clean-shaven anyone!
  2. Amazing pics, Jaye! Happy New Year everyone
  3. QUOTE (Jaye @ Dec 29 2008, 07:48 PM) What would your fave era be, then? I just LOVE the modern only-a-pointy-tail-and-a-pair-of-horns-missing look. It's just perfect for Ged. I even suspect some professional stylist's contribution there. Or maybe it's just a bit of luck that Geddy finally found his perfect look http://blog.nola.com/keithspera/2008/04/large_Rush%20-%20Main%20Pub%20-%20Andrew%20MacNaughtan.jpg
  4. Usually I prefer other Ged looks to the 80s, but I like this one a lot http://assets.mog.com/amg/pic200/drp100/p162/p16204nbuu1.jpg
  5. Well I have to say this was a much lighter task for me than the 460 pages of Geddy. Some awesome quality here nonetheless (another interesting observation - much less drooling and fainting too, but I don't think it undermines the mighty sexappeal of the great Professor). Thanks to all the posters - it was a great pleasure! Th pics where Neil has to withstand the onslought of Alex's "groupies" are particularly entertaining. Ah... I've had some Neil-dreams of my own lately... I think more will be fuelled by some pics I've seen here.
  6. QUOTE (spiderbait90 @ Dec 18 2008, 11:25 AM) Well, I believe Harry Satchel is just something they made up. So far as i know, he isn't based on anyone. He went to see them in Glasgow? I was there, albeit in crap seats. Very back row. No-one was behind me. Well you are luckier than me cos I wasn't there at all.. Still can't think why... Probably cos I was skint at the time. I have been skint a lot in the last couple of years... Thanks for the info
  7. QUOTE (Jaye @ Dec 18 2008, 08:42 AM) But perhaps you could make your own Photobucket account and upload and post them from there. That way, you don't have to worry about the pictures not working if anyone deletes things from their account. Och I know... I'm so lazy. It's actually an ordeal for me everytime I make a decision to register somewhere new (including this forum - I agonised over it for a week ) Btw, I feel a bit inadequate asking since I'm in Scotland and all, but... who's Harry Satchel? I know it's a character played by Ged in Snakes and Arrows tour. My bf went to see them in Glasgow and said that Ged was wearing a kilt and doing a very good Scottish accent (and that's a helluva compliment coming from a Glaswegian!!!)? but it seemed he never knew that it was supposed to be a particular character either. Enlighten us, please
  8. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Dec 17 2008, 08:20 PM) Welcome to Ged land. We don't mind re-posters as long as you give credit to whoever made the original post. Ohh there might be a problem then cos I saved all the links without noting who posted them first. I apologise if I reposted any one of yours without crediting. I can't face going through the hundreds of pages again either So I'll just refrain from posting unless I find something original
  9. Hesitated between Driven and Half the World. Went for the latter. When the bass kicks in it makes me into a babbling mess and makes me want to have Geddy's babies
  10. I hesitated a bit between Dreamline (oh I love the lyrics - note my signature) and Rolll the Bones. Went for the latter as it holds a special place in my heart. It was listening to that song made me crave more and more Rush and eventually meade me into a mad Rush fan and made me register here
  11. Went for the Camera Eye. My latest favourite from this album. Reminds me of Genesis in places - the way the guitar sounds is somewhat Mike Rutherfordesque. But the most important bit is of course the singing. When Geddy comes in with the first line there's something in the way the melody goes that locates my tear gland percisely and just slams on it. I well up immediately no matter what I am doing and what I am thinking at that moment. HOW do the do that???
  12. That was a tough one but I am in the minority again with The Different Strings. That song is IMMACULATE. I just wish it went on and on. The beauty of it is ethereal. Hearing things like that makes you wonder how can someone made of the same flesh and blood as you come up with something so magical.
  13. I'm in the minority with Circumstances. The way Ged's voice soars up in the chorus. So high, so effortless. Takes you to another dimension. I can feel it in my gut quite literally when he is up there... what a voice! And one of my fav basslines too
  14. Closer to the Heart. It was the first Rush song I ever liked. Typical, eh?
  15. QUOTE (yaoi_myantidrug @ Dec 17 2008, 04:26 PM) He was the singer for skid row. welcome to the forum! only requirement is post lotsa Ged pics cause those Alex girls are catchin up to us. confession:I post over there too Thanks GedHead))) Well my main source of Ged pics is actually this thread. But I see you gals are not against re-posting so I was thinking of posting a selection of my particular favourites from this thread. I have been posting them on my Russian blog - trying to spread the Rush-o-mania around the world. Not too many ppl respond, but I got Ged into some Russian ladies' heads which is good))) (Btw does anyone know why my timezone shows as American?) http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq287/PanaceaFish/Geddy%20Lee%20Pix/Wallpapers/GeddyWallpaper5.jpg http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p454/kittengirl2112/20walton02_14_78-04_24_79.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/Jett_Moonwing/Geddy19.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/Jett_Moonwing/Geddy24-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/Jett_Moonwing/Geddy542.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/Jett_Moonwing/Geddy633.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v636/mamidmmk/Ross%20Halfin%20Pics/Geddy/rush-bw42.jpg http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq287/PanaceaFish/Geddy%20Lee%20Pix/067_067.jpg http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq287/PanaceaFish/Rush%20Art/geddyliciousRestoredDiffClouds.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f238/MiriyaB/Geddy_at_game.jpg http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l348/yaoi_myantidrug/poolsidewithGeddy.jpg http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa31/cheycam/oldrushphoto3.jpg
  16. QUOTE (PanaceaFish @ Dec 17 2008, 02:23 PM) Actually, I think I said that I wanted to lick his NECK. I am SURE someone said something about licking the NOSE. Oh don't make me go back and look through those 460 pages again Thanks for the welcome
  17. QUOTE (Jaye @ Dec 17 2008, 09:14 AM) Omg, does every woman on Earth except me fancy Johnny Depp?? I can't say I fancy him that much, but he sure is a great actor and I can see how some ppl can fancy him.. What I was gonna say is I actually met a guy recently who looks like a cross between Johnny and Ged. Hot.
  18. This is from the set of The Gilmour Girls, as far as I know and the blond guy is Sebastian Bach. Didn't he play in some band or smething? I actually found myself watching that godawful thing (apologies to all Gilmour Girls fans including Geddy's daughter) after having learnt that Geddy and Kyla apparently have a cameo in one of the episodes... Gave up cos the thing is just dreadful... Somebody will eventually put it on youtube if they are really there. Does anyone if that's already happened, maybe?
  19. Right... I duuno if I am going to get kicked out of here after only 2 posts, but I simply HAVE to do this. Years ago one of my friends had a toy. We all loved that toy - it was a fun toy. But it was a long time ago and I have promptly forgotten about it. But looking at numerous photos of Geddy recently reminded me of that toy. A lot. Disclaimer: I love Geddy to death and this is in no way to undermine his status as a sexy beast (people get so easily offended these days - I have to say this) Spot the difference (or should I say resemblance?) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/Jett_Moonwing/Geddy126.jpg http://www.rapidonline.com/netalogue/zoomed/Large/98055401.jpg http://www.daniellesplace.com/Images4/orcrowpuppet.gif http://a52.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/78/l_9002ec1e063159e7b156c08beeedee43.jpg
  20. Right, that's it. I have ACTUALLY looked through the four hundred and bloody sixty pages of Ged photos and I demand a reward! Well, some absolutely geddylicious (my bf now oficially hates that word) pics can count as an adequate reward, I have to admit. Please accept a new addition to your fainting, drooling, OMG'ding crew, as that's what I have been doing for the past week looking through this topic. I would like to thank all the posters for some absolutely delightful sights I've witnessed here. In the words of one of the long-standing members (was it LadyApril or PanaceaFish?) "I wanna lick his nose!" © Since this is my first post here, I suppose I have to introduce myself. I'm Catherine. The Rush influence has been so strong in the last several months that I even broke my long standing tradition of always regsitering with the same username which I thought up ages ago - CatherineInRock (encompassing thus all of my musical preferences, yet making a reference to one of the fav bands), and went for a Rush-related screenname. A new experience for me . I am originally from Eastern Europe, but have been living in Glasgow UK for over 3 years now (are there any British droolers here?) - Rush have played here twice in that time, but I, the silly cow, missed both shows. One time I was back home in Latvia and the second time I just can't think of the reason why - my mind is blank. It was definitely before my Rush-madness which only started this August. I have been a rock music fan since the tender age of 5, but listened to and salivated over almost exclusively British bands. I was vaguely aware of Rush, but never a fan, until a short while ago, when I developed an affection to a handful of Rush songs from my bf's cd collection - Closer to the Heart, The Spirit of Radio, 2112, Freewill.. Once, listening to the third verse of Freewill ("Each of us....") I felt something. Physiologically rather than emotionally. Bloody hell, I thought.. What a voice this is that does THAT to you. Of course, being a huge bass-fan, I couldn't overlook Geddy's amazing talent in that department either. The numerous talents of the man started getting to me. Once in late July 2008 I had a dream that featured Geddy. Nothing saucy, but we were kinda "together". I interpreted that as a sign - liten to more Rush, investigate! So I did. What a world of beauty I discovered! I will always remember August 2008 for thet reason. I think it was Roll the Bones (the song) that made me crave more and more Rush - the way he went "Well you can stake that claim.." just made me weak at the knees! A mad crush on Geddy was of course only a matter of time. Soon Neil joined him there in my dirty fantasies I have no problem drooling over more than one guy at once So here I am, ladies.... One of my fav shots that caused me some pleasant dreams on several occasions (I haven't seen this one in this resolution on this thread, but it might have been one of the broken links in the earlier pages). I think you'll enjoy anyway http://www.goddessintheirgarden.com/geddy%20punim.jpg
