  1. When I was shopping for the 8-18 show I called numerous scalpers who said they had tickets in the first 6 rows. I called ticketmaster to see what the deal was with will call for those rows. Tickmaster said under no circumstances can they mail them out early and you have to pick them up at will call. Well I called back the scalpers and they said they get SPECIAL treatment so don't worry. And worse case the scalper said he would fly out and MAKE SURE I got them. Ya Right! I could never justify paying $500 a ticket 2 months before the show and assume they will be given to me that night. I went to Denver ticket agency and got 4 tickets in hand for $30 over face value in row 20 center. I would love to see them up really close but DO NOT trust any scalpers! And yes RED ROCKS was great the for R30 and Snakes and Arrows tour. But I noticed that it has changed lately and everybody seems to want to see Rush now even though they probably can't name more than 10 songs. All the people next to our entourage were very quite and still. I felt awkward because I wanted to rock out! I also noticed that there was no elbow room at all during that show!!!! I will be taking a road trip myself on the next tour! And If I see the prices going up every tour as usual I may be done with concerts overall. What happened to the good ole days!
  2. Wow! Sounds like alot of venues still suck. I have to say again how much better Red Rocks is then all the rest. There are BBQ's going and tents to block the sun all over the place. Its a huge dirt parking lot with a ton of porta johns out there for all us tailgaters. They allow us to show up at 3pm for the 8pm show. Its a massive rush party! Inside the venue it is standing room only. If you sit then you have to be either in the handicap area or the very very back. If you want to give your feet a break then sit but dont complain about the people in front of you. I only had one problem at Red Rocks in 3 concerts so far and it was at R30. Mr. ahole I met that night was acting like a security guard and telling people they cant drink as we walked up to the venue. He would then say "you got punked" and laugh! When we caught up to him he tried it on our group. I then told him "you got punched" he went down and everybody laughed! He even had a fake yellow shirt that said security. I think it may have had a few red spots after we got aquainted though. If you ever get a chance to come to the Rockies for a show you will be happy with this venue. I cant wait until the 18th!
  3. Rush uses top of the line recording and then hires Zoe. Needless to say it's very expensive to produce a DVD from a few shows let alone every concert!
  4. You are correct sir! Red Rocks is the best venue for Rush. It is an amazing place to hang out and tailgate as well. I have been to all three shows so far with the R30 tour being the best one yet! That was a magical night as Neil said! I do not think if that show will ever be replaced by a better one but you never know. Go in early then and make sure you dont
  5. You go to a rush concert and get angry when they do not play Tom Sawyer, Closer to the heart and Fly by night because those are the only songs you know.
