I love it!! http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq287/PanaceaFish/Rush_fight.jpg Weird. I've seen this pic, and the rest in the series, but there was never a caption. Is it from a magazine or something? They sometimes take old pictures and put them there with captions... Plus the way the photo looks kinda warped or something shows the shape of something page-like... That's my new desktop.

  10. When you're French teacher asks to to turn to page "R30", and you instantly start laughing. (She then asked me what was wrong, and I had to explain it to her infront of the entire class. )
  11. QUOTE (MCM @ Oct 15 2008, 07:48 PM) QUOTE (PetieLee @ Oct 11 2008, 10:27 PM) QUOTE (PanaceaFish @ Oct 11 2008, 10:10 PM)GAH!! I'd like a Gedd pic to slowly savor over please, Petie!! Well, I'm heading off to beddy bye now but here ya go PanaceaFish, a gorgeous Geddy pic for you to savor, too: http://i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq335/PetieLee/RushinMilwaukeeandStLouis285.jpg This one was taken in St. Louis. Geddy liked posed for me in this pic, freaked me out!! He like stood there until I snapped the pic...and it was during 2112 when he usually running around and such...I was like WHOA!!! Too cool! Very surreal!!! That's a FABULOUS picture!!!!! (this is pretty silly but did you ever notice how he almost always has a ponytail holder on his wrist during shows, but never puts his hair in a ponytail??? even at the Hershey show when it was about 90 degrees with 90% humidity... just something I notice) He does sometimes. I think he wears one if he desires to put it up, so he doesn't have to look for one. I do the same thing.

  15. QUOTE (Janie @ Aug 13 2008, 01:15 PM) http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u191/MissElainius/Neil230.jpg Neil is indeed a giant among men, trees too for that matter. Only Neil Peart can prevent forest fires.
  16. QUOTE (Spike @ Oct 6 2008, 07:16 PM) QUOTE (kittengirl2112 @ Oct 6 2008, 10:54 PM)QUOTE (Spike @ Oct 6 2008, 09:45 PM)QUOTE (kittengirl2112 @ Oct 6 2008, 03:41 PM)http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p454/kittengirl2112/KerrangMIB001.jpg I'm not sure if I like this one or not. My first thought was "Hubba-Hubba!" But then I saw that fingernail - and that creeps me out!! I've noticed that he sometimes keeps his nails long, esp. on the left hand (can't afford picks?!?! ), but this is too "female" looking. I'm sure some of you (not mentioning names!!) will go on about how he can use the long nails for other things beside playing guitar. But I just have a thing about guys with long nails. Also, notice his wedding band here? It's a plain gold band. I swear in more recent pics his band is more ornate with 3 ridges. I wonder if he and Charlene renewed their vows in the last few years and he got a new ring?? Please get out of my brain Spike I was thinking the SAME thing about the nails. I'm only going to give Sexy a pass because that is his right hand and he may need it for guitar-related things. But ew. Janie has already picked up on the wedding band issue - oh don't you worry, our friend has an eagle eye. She surmises as you have, which is that he and the wife have "renewed their vows." I'm going to refrain from saying anything that could be construed as KG hating on marriage (being married for 7 years myself), but I can think it about this particular one (in a purely lighthearted way, of course) and you know what I'm thinking too!!! Why oh why is he not single??? oops - I said it out loud. Damn it. I'm not very good with photo editing, but I "fixed" his fingernail!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v636/mamidmmk/alexKerrangMIB001fixed.jpg Thank you!
  17. QUOTE (Janie @ Oct 1 2008, 11:44 AM) QUOTE (kittengirl2112 @ Oct 1 2008, 12:32 PM) QUOTE (Janie @ Oct 1 2008, 02:23 PM)Work won't help. It's nearly impossible to take your mind off Sexy. Believe me, I've tried! Yeah - it's no use - especially when I've decided that this is what I shall look at when I'm working: http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p454/kittengirl2112/Desktop1.jpg http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p454/kittengirl2112/desktop2.jpg Is that one lone picture I see of your family!? Kidding. I see you have a few pictures of your family in the sea of Alex pictures. Too funny. That made me laugh. But then I felt inadequate. I don't have a single picture of Alex around me. Not a single one. I have nothing but art books and art supplies and wooden mannequins and my running magazines and running folders and awards. No Alex. WTH is wrong with me!? Although I too have a Rubik's cube by me and it's just about as solved as yours. My locker will be a Rush shrine by the end of the year.
  18. QUOTE (GeddysMullet @ Sep 6 2008, 12:57 PM) When a character in a book you're reading describes music they are listening to as having "too much bass and shrieking" and "complicated drum beats," and you automatically assume it's Rush! (Guilty of that!)
  19. When you say the only hit by Rush was Tom Sawyer.

  21. QUOTE (rcbassist39 @ Aug 24 2008, 08:35 PM) QUOTE (Marathonist @ Aug 19 2008, 09:58 PM) When you hear someone's cell phone start playing "Limelight" at work and you stand up and yell, "Hey! Who's the Rush fan?" thats awesome, lol I was singing Subdivisions this morning, and I could of sworn someone sang "Subdivisions" with me, then I asked people around, and they didn't hear anything...

  24. QUOTE (Marathonist @ Aug 6 2008, 08:46 AM) This may strike some people as being a little weird, but right now I am a little weird. As some may have read in my Open Secrets thread, my baby sister took her own life last Thursday. She'd had a myriad of diabetes-related complications, the latest being kidney failure. I loved her so much, and I've lost my best friend. I am still very numb in a lot of ways, and EVERYTHING reminds me of her. I've picked up Ghost Rider again. I have found it to be an enormous source of comfort and strength, especially late at night and when I am alone. Neil will probably never know of the gift he has given me at this very difficult time, and I am sure there are others who have found similar solace. So thank you, Neil Peart, for having the courage to share your story. I'm very sorry to hear that. You aren't weird in any way. Neil's books help me a lot too when I encounter things in my life that go wrong. I'm sure he'd be glad to know how much his story helped comfort you. We're here for you too if you need to talk.
  25. I would probably trip, causing damage to him or his Fender, or find some way to hurt his eyes, nose, or even scratch the glasses! My hands would be shaking so hard! I'd probably end up dropping them again, then make him annoyed somehow.
