  1. I've been slacking and missed getting the first one......seems that I'll be buying both of them very soon. Definitely before Halloween. Can't wait to see Sky High to get my Bruce Campbell fix......I hear that he is brilliant in it (along with several other people).
  2. Haha, knew this one wouldn't last long! Jack's turn. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v335/bastillenight/Movies/6d525d41.jpg
  3. This thread is a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed it to the perch it'd be pushing up the daisies! Its metabolic processes are now 'istory! It's off the twig! It's kicked the bucket, shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!
  4. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jun 28 2005, 11:12 PM) Looks good! This should be good...Peter Jackson won't screw this up. Truer words have never been spoken (well, maybe once or twice). This has been Peter Jackson's dream project since he was a child, and probably a driving force for his development of WETA......he'll do it up incredible, and all the naysayers will have to eat crow. I'm looking forward to this (the film, and the crow-eating)!!!
  5. I've seen the first Shrek at least one zillion times, and I always enjoy it! Shrek 2 I've only seen once or twice and it seemed alright, but I prefer the first one. Anyone else got the Shrek 3D??......it's pretty neat, but I've always been a sucker for 3D.
  6. Well, since nobody has taken the bait yet, let's give this a try: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v335/bastillenight/Movies/738ad900.jpg
  7. QUOTE (Hypatia @ Jun 27 2005, 09:04 PM) Thanks for the advice, Jack, but I was trying to post an image from a movie I actually own. How would I do that? That depends on the software that you use to view your DVDs. If you use WinDVD, you just have to push the "P" button and it will save a jpeg image of the scene that is on the screen. If you use Windows Media Player, you need to disable hardware acceleration before you take the screenshot. Open windows media player, click Tools-->Options-->Performance, then for "Video acceleration" slide the slider all the way to the left to disable it. Click ok to save the setting. Then to actually take the screen shot hold the Alt button and then hit the print screen button. Now you will be able to paste the image into your image editing software (like MS Paint). If you use Real Player, open Tools-->Preferences. Select 'hardware' from the category list on the left. Then under the 'video card compatibility' section slide the slider all the way to the left so it says 'disable optimized video and overlays'. Now you should be able to take screen shots from Real Player as described above. Other players probably have similar methods that you should be able to find with a Google search. Good luck!
  8. Isn't it awfully nice to have a penis? Isn't it frightfully good to have a dong? It's swell to have a stiffy, It's devine to own a dick. From the tiniest little tadger To the world's biggest prick! So three cheers for your willy or John Thomas. Hooray for your one-eyed trousers snake. Your piece of pork, your wife's best friend, Your Percy or your rooster. You can wrap it up in ribbons, You can slip it in your sock. Don't take it out in public, Or they will put you in the dock ... And you won't come back. That's it....throw me out!
  9. Oh, it's the meek! Blessed are the meek! Oh, that's nice, isn't it? I'm glad they're getting something, 'cause they have a hell of a time.
  10. Awesome!! Some new blood in the scramble! Bring it on invisibleairwaves
  11. Pinned after all? This calls for a special cewebration : PILATE: Well, Bwian, you've given us a good wun for our money. BRIAN: A what? [slap] Aaagh. PILATE: This time, I guawantee you will not escape. Guard, do we have any cwucifixions today? GUARD #1: A hundred and thirty-nine, sir. Special celebration. Passover, sir. PILATE: Wight. Now we have a hundwed and forty. Nice wound number, eh, Biggus? BIGGUS DICKUS: Hm hm hm hm hm. CENTURION: Hail Caesar! PILATE: Hail. CENTURION: The crowd outside is getting a bit restless, sir. Permission to disperse them, please. PILATE: Disperse them? But I haven't addwessed them yet. CENTURION: Ah, no. I know sir, but-- PILATE: My addwess is one of the high points of the Passover. My fwiend, Biggus Dickus, has come all the way fwom Wome just to hear it. CENTURION: Hail Caesar. BIGGUS: Hail Thaethar! CENTURION: You're not-- ah, you're not, uh, thinking o-- of giving it a miss this year, then, sir? PILATE: Give it a miss? CENTURION: Well, it's just that they're in a rather funny mood today, sir. PILATE: Weally, Centuwion? I'm surpwised to hear a man like you wattled by a wabble of wowdy webels.
  12. Page 4 ??!?!??! That's shameful! I shall endeavor to keep this thread healthy and strong!......or at least silly and struggling to keep afloat. I want another slice of rhubarb tart. I want another lovely slice. I'm not disparaging the blueberry pie, But rhubarb tart is, oh, so very nice. A rhubarb what? A rhubarb tart! A what-barb tart? A rhubarb tart! I want another slice of rhubarb tart! The principles of modern philosophy Were postulated by Descartes. Discarding everything he wasn't certain of, He said 'I think, therefore I am a rhubarb tart'. A rhubarb what? A rhubarb tart! A Ren who? Ren Descartes! Poor nut, he thought he was a rhubarb tart! Read all the existentialist philosophers, Like Schopenhauer and Jean-Paul Sartre. Even Martin Heidegger agrees on one thing: Eternal happiness is rhubarb tart. A rhubarb what? A rhubarb tart! A Jean-Paul who? A Jean-Paul Sartre! Eternal happiness is rhubarb tart. A rhubarb tart has fascinated all the poets, Especially the immortal bard. He caused Richard the Third to call on Bosworth Field: 'My kingdom for a slice of rhubarb tart!' A rhubarb what? A rhubarb bard! Immortal what? Immortal tart! As rhymes go, that is really pretty bard!
  13. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v335/bastillenight/Monty%20Python/announce.jpg Well, we put up a good fight, but those darned 'people-who-can't-wait-a-week-to-find-out-what-DVD-is-being-released' seem to have won this battle. But that's OK. We (or at least I) shall prevail by maintaining the Monty Python thread at the top of the "Non-Pinned" section......a far more prestigious place to be anyway.
  14. Monty Pythonians unite!! Silliness must prevail over the dryness of "what's coming soon on DVD'. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v335/bastillenight/Monty%20Python/pearlhar.jpg

  16. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v335/bastillenight/Monty%20Python/colonel.jpg The Monthy Python thread should NOT be the tenth pinned thread, because that would be silly. Move along.
  17. Nicely played Madra, and I think I'll have another also (a little later in the day anyway!) Hit us with your best shot.
  18. Punctuation has no part in the answer.....only the letters themselves. And I am accustomed to people hating me, so no offense taken. Think...oldschool

  20. Much as I bitched about the finale.....I'm pretty sure I'll be getting this one. (I had avoided all websites of this show until after the finale, but then I browsed through a bunch of them. It was interesting to see that there seemed to be a huge split in the assessment of the season finale. One camp hated that there was NO resolution of ANY of the mysteries, and many claimed that entire season was a long drawn out waste of time (I counted myself in this camp). The other camp didn't care that answers weren't given, and seemed to claim that they were far more superior than the other camp due to their much better developed sense of patience for soap opera-type shows (my wife counts herself in this camp). I still have many doubts, but I'm pretty sure I'll be among the addicted next year, at least for a few weeks.)
  21. Don't give up SullySue....this game is highly addictive once you get the hang of it! Check out my avatar for a clue.
  22. QUOTE (sullysue @ Jun 10 2005, 04:24 PM) Is this a lyric? Yes, it is a lyric.
