  1. i don't know what they have up their sleeves but it's exciting to think about the possibilities. i just don't want to get my hopes up to high.
  2. i vote no for any opening act. i couldn't imagine seeing porcupine tree and than rush after that. too exhausting. i'd run out of gas 1/2 way through the rush show. if they had an opening act i would be in the parking lot until it was over.
  3. QUOTE (metaldad @ Apr 21 2010, 03:22 PM) QUOTE (Funky Chicken @ Apr 21 2010, 03:09 PM) From Al's lips- "Jacob's Ladder". Let the bitching start. "Out of all their old songs they pick that" bitchfest! people will bitch no matter what. they win the lotto for a million bucks and bitch that it's only a million and they should have played when it was 5 million. bitchfest warm up tour!
  4. i'm thinking that they are passing up phoenix because of the heat during the summer, and they are playing indoors in vegas. that's the only conclusion i come to.
  5. ticketliquidator.com never a problem.
  6. ticketliquidator.com never a problem.
  7. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Apr 14 2010, 03:13 PM) Cold Fire for sure. I'll skip the ones they've most often played and shoot for Stick It Out as well, for shits and giggles. yes cf sounds great live. bring it back.
  8. it's a night out for me and a good one at that. i've paid 100 bucks for superbowl parties with garbage food and bad beer. buying a rush ticket seems like a bargain.
  9. anybody need their lawn cut? special rate for rush fans. $100
  10. QUOTE (kooma @ Apr 13 2010, 06:45 AM) Will the notorious threesome also play in Europe this year? Probably NOT.... i doubt it for this tour but the next one i can see them going over there.
  11. QUOTE (MULTIPLIED REACTION @ Apr 12 2010, 10:28 PM) Box office sucks. They hand out wristbands now, so you could be first or dead last. they still hand out wristbands for tickets? last time i got a wristband was for the monsters of rock back in 88. i think i was 12th on line and my tickets sucked. i was 2nd level with some obstructed view because of the huge scaffolding for technical setup in the middle.
  12. i'm definitely sitting a little further back this time but not quite lawn seats. i need to be able to sit down here and there when my energy dwindles.
  13. QUOTE (metaldad @ Apr 12 2010, 06:37 PM) QUOTE (PariahDog @ Apr 12 2010, 06:33 PM) you now pay $15+ for a movie (IMAX 3D). Really ??? Holy crap, that tells you the last time i went to the movies same here. i haven't been to a movie in a very long time. call me old fashioned but movies today really suck. ok back to complaining about rush tickets.
  14. whatever you can afford. do i want to go? yes, but i'm not going to put myself in the poorhouse in the process. i'll be happy with any seat.
  15. see i don't feel like i need to be up close so i'm not sweating it.
  16. i just hope they use the"time machine tour" to acyually branch out a bit and mix it up with lots of curve balls. this is no time to play more of the same to try and build the fan base. have some kahunas and be all over the place.
  17. QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Apr 12 2010, 04:35 PM) QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Apr 12 2010, 03:25 PM) QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Apr 12 2010, 04:21 PM) All of you quit your pissing and moaning now. I have to fly across a country, get a decent hotel for 3 or 4 nights, pay for my meals, buy merch, buy drinks, do other fun stuff and probably rent a car. Total cost for guys like me in living in the hinterlands? A cool grand or more. Is it worth it? F\/CK YA! Not everyone has or can find a grand to spend on a show, though. It's awesome if you can..! Some people can fly to Paris from the States just to go to dinner and an evening show as well...but that's not me either. I'm just sayin'.....could be alot worse. 100-120 bucks a ticket ain't that bad. eating dinner in paris is worse than paying 100-120 for a ticket.

  19. QUOTE (Queen of Megadon @ Apr 12 2010, 01:38 PM) PRESTO ranks #1 or #2 of my all time RUSH albums, depending on the way the wind blows. That said...I almost said no to Presto, but maybe. I actually dont think The Pass...would love it of course, but I'm voting WAR PAINT. But I'm wishing for AVAILABLE LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dude available light? i love the song but we have to be realistic. that song, as good as it is, wouldn't an energetic live song.
  20. that would be a nice welcome but it's not happening.
  21. i gotta admit, seeing rush in kansas intrigues me alot. is there anything to do in wichita?
  22. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Apr 12 2010, 09:42 AM) QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Apr 12 2010, 09:28 AM) life is short though and oppotunity only comes along once in a while. FFS, you're talking about a bunch of rock musicians, not an epic career move or major investment opportunity. The Rush guys love to joke about your type while at the same time taking your money. i would feel alot better bucking up for a ticket than the 250 i put down on a super bowl box.
  23. no skin off my back. if you don't want to buck up that's your choice. i've spent that kind of money in restaurants where i walked away not impressed or satisfied or a sporting event that was boring as hell. i have no problem spending it on something that looks to be a little different.
