  1. I can tell you that in my 25 years of concert going, I have seen one legit second encore. Van Halen, Molson Amphitheater, August 19 1995. VH thanked everyone after the regular tour encore, and walked off the stage. Lights went on, Sammy came back out as people were leaving and said...hey Edward, Edward, get back out here, let's do one more. Eddie was on the big TV screen and looked totally out of it and confused. Alex came out and started the drums for Panama. Check out the set lists for that tour. Legit. It would be nice to see more...but then everyone would want one...and so it would be planned.
  2. QUOTE (Mr. Henry Gale @ Jun 4 2012, 10:17 AM) Wreckers is one of the best things they have done in years. Not only is it catchy, lyrics are great, instrumentally it's really interesting (especially the break down at the end). That's a funny statement given that the band only releases albums every 5 years....so by default it's always going to "best in years"...which is only the last album...LOL
  3. The album is good, not their best, but not a dissapointment. I actually prefer the mixes on Caravan and BU2B from two summers ago better, they are much cleaner, so I just replaced them in the line up rather than the album versions. The Wreckers is truly a highlite. It's in the same vein as "Armor and Sword" and "Bravado"....
  4. Reading his book Roadshow, which I got for Christmas. Seems that the master of drums, who is seemingly shy with fans, really seems to hate the idea of touring, being famous etc.... It's sad really because it causes him so much stress to do something that so many dream of. Especially when he compares it to Alex and Geddy.
