  1. Hi and welcome, are you THE alexlifeson or are you just using that as a screen name?
  2. Nothing unusual going on here, snow removal vehicle gets stuck, calls tow truck for assistance. Tow truck driver's instructions, remove the snow removal vehicle no matter what it takes, send the bill to the tax payers. The guy driving the tow truck would have trashed 3 or 4 vehicles if that's what it took to remove the stuck snow removal vehicle. Am I taking the liberal viewpoint here, what might be good for many might not be good for one?
  3. None today, been feeling pretty good lately other than a few sinus headaches.
  4. QUOTE (Nate2112 @ Dec 27 2010, 04:15 PM)Someone in 4th grade tripped me in recess and i had a seizure. They had to delay lunch for 40 minutes because the Ambulance had to get me. my brother has a sugar thing when he has too much he has seizures he had 7 in his lifetime and he is 9 now. its pretty damn scary having seizures Sorry to hear that, seems to be the more I hear and experience, the things you do or don't eat have a lot to do with it. I know not eating right is a seizure trigger for me.
  5. QUOTE (Angua @ Dec 24 2010, 01:02 PM)Good to hear you're doing well Drumnut. Thanks Angua, hope you're doing well also.
  6. Sorry to hear that you were let go, it sounds like it was through no fault of your own. Get that temp agency the number of a friend or relative that will get you a message if they call. Keep your head up and find something to keep you busy, sitting around thinking about it does no good, trust me, I speak from experience. I'm on disability because of my Epilepsy but would love to work any nothing job just to keep my mind positive.
  7. Paul Di'anno, Maiden's original singer, is going to be singing with Aces High, a Maiden tribute band here in Vegas on January 11, 2011 I plan to attend this one!!! I'll try to post some pics.
  8. I'm a big Maiden fan, I can't say I have a "favorite" Maiden song or album. I have a huge collection of Maiden vinyl, unfortunately, The Soundhouse Tapes is not among them. I have 7 and 12 inch singles on black vinyl, picture discs and, shaped discs. One of the most sought after pieces in my collection is the shaped "The Trooper" single. Back when I was collecting, I shopped at a record store who's owner fed my bad collecting habit, if he could get his hands on something, he usually set it aside to see if I was interested before he put it in the bins. I wish I had been more into collecting Rush vinyl back then, who knows what I would have in my collection these days...?

  15. QUOTE (garbo @ Dec 13 2010, 08:19 AM)I'm still having simple and partial complex seizures, which are both freakishly interesting types of seizures. Simple can manifest themselves, like, I was volunteering and I thought someone was making tomato soup and someone was obviously not. So, smells, sounds, etc. Partial complex are not as cool. I have about a hundred of those a day, which are not as frequent since I'm medicated. They last about thirty seconds and they can be a feeling of dread, deja vu, extreme anguish, religious anxiety, you name it. Bizarre. And I usually space out while I'm having them. I didn't know those were seizures until my neurologist asked and I told him and then he said, "Bingo. Seizures." With my meds, though, they've stopped beyond anything worse (since seizures spread across the brain and can go from something like a complex into a tonic clonic). So! My friend, who also has epilepsy, calls me and tells me that his medication is making him suicidal. He hasn't told anyone, but he knows I'll understand since I was in a similar situation with one of my meds. However, he doesn't want to tell his doctor because a. his doctor will call his parents (they're friends) and b. threats of suicide usually put you in the psyche ward. He's in grad school and I think the stress mixed with the medication are all contributing factors, but it worries me. He did tell me he is going to get his meds changed, so at least he is being proactive because he knows I would kick his ass if he didn't. He should talk to someone, Epilepsy meds can make you think and do stupid things. I just refused to stop taking Lamictal anymore because it depressed me so bad. My Dr didn't want to take me off of it so I told him I refused to take it. My moods still aren't great but they are better than they were on Lamictal. No seizures today, (yesterday now) I do have a headache from the cold wet weather outside though.
