  1. QUOTE (owlswing @ Aug 26 2007, 02:22 PM) Since Tombstone is one of my all time favorite movies, I have to agree Val Kilmer was great as Doc Holiday. As far as an Oscar...I really can't answer that. It's a simple reason as to why I can't. This is a movie that came of in 1994. How can I sit here 13 years later and say yeah he should have got an oscar. I would need to know what other movies were out, who else would be up as supporting Actor. Do you have any links to the sites you mention? Hi there...you know what, I don't have the links anymore...it was a few years ago, but the answer stuck in my head all this time. I was actually just looking for it on my other monitor here...if I bump into it, I'll put it up right away!
  2. I have seen Tombstone a few times...(like 50 few) and at some point I really felt that Val Kilmer played Doc Holliday as well as anyone. I recently went to a Val Kilmer fan page, and they were having a discussion about the fact that they felt he should have received a nomination for best supporting actor, and probably won it for his role. What I learned from this site was that the company that submits actors or crew for consideration simply "didn't get the request in on time". Does anyone have an insight on this? Also, does anyone feel that his portrayal was Oscar worthy?
  3. I'm going to give him 2 thumbs up for The Color of Money and I really enjoyed A Few Good Men...but it's hard to not like a movie with Jack in it...IMO... I've lost interest in him since he ruined Oprah's furniture...
  4. Thanks everyone for writing in! What's ironic for me is that while I do like Pierce as Bond, I have always found Connery as an excellent actor, and I really liked his portrayals in The Untouchables and in The Hunt for Red October...in fact, most movies he's in really work for me and I find to be a top notch actor! In fact, I would say that he really makes The Untouchables a better movie...I don't know if I would believe anyone else in the role he played.
  5. A week of rain has taken a backseat to sunny...but a bit windy...about 70 degrees...here in the greater Seattle area!
  6. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Aug 23 2007, 12:33 PM) IMO, there is only ONE James Bond. The others were simply fill ins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFZtMWs31oo And here he is. http://kauppa.tietosanoma.fi/WebRoot/Kaupat/Shops/Tietosanoma/44CF/0965/60F8/DEE7/004F/5274/EB11/E786/9518844208_300dpi.jpg That's an excellent picture!!!
  7. I was just watching "The World is not enough" and thought I'd start this poll! I grew up at the end of Connery's reign and all through the Moore era. I've seen all the movies, and I really can say that I prefer Pierce as James Bond. I don't know what else to say other than I think of him as Bond! Since I grew up with Moore in the role, I really do enjoy his portrayal as Bond, but not the way I seem to like Brosnan. Who's at the top of your list???

  19. QUOTE (softfilter @ Jul 15 2007, 06:42 PM) The thing about The Office is you find yourself actually caring about the characters because there so believable (I work with a Dwight Schrute) Get the dvd collections or check out youtube for deleated scenes there hilarious and there's tons of them,I guess for a half hour show they can't cram everything in. You are right as right! It made my day when Jim asked Pam out! It's a strange show...just kinda sucks you in! I got the seasons on DVD, and the out takes are really funny...did you see those comercial spots they did??? what a hoot!!!
