He looks a little plump in that pic - By the way, guess who else was watching Toronto getting their rumps kicked by the Mets last night? The local cable sports channel was showing the game from Toronto and guess who was sitting right behind the batter? I'm serious. At first I was like, "no, too easy. That can't be Geddy Lee." That gorgeous nose of his is unmistakeable, though, even in a blurry distance shot. Nooedless to say, I wound up watching him a lot more than I did the game...

Back in high school, all my other girlfriends had these huge crushes on either Rick Springfield or Tom Cruise - about the same time I developed this huge crush on Geddy Lee... He's still way cuter than either of them, too...

That's my father with the remote. No joke - he uses it so much it's almost worn out. You have to pound the buttons to get it to work. And that's one of my ex-boyfriends with the car - "Gee, Cupcake, I dunno why the Partymobile won't party--" Uh, Partyman? Could it have something to do with the huge puddle of transmission fluid currently congealing around the right front wheel? Or is that just coincidence?

Mmmm, shoes... If only designer shoes came in something besides medium - I'm a double wide. (7EEE - as wide as they are long, in other words.) I swear, I feel like Cinderella's stepsister every time I walk in a shoe store. (Forget the prince! Just find me the freaking glass slipper in a wide!)

Lately I've been treating myself to a houseplant or two when I'm stressed. I think I need to do something else. My houseplant collection is starting to rival Geddy's baseball collection. On the other hand, I'm sitting here looking at a cactus I just bought that's not quite an inch across and covered with little pink buds. It's so cute.

There was once a gynecologist who had fulfilled his longtime dream of buying a gorgeous vintage Mustang he planned to fix up. In preparation, he decided to take a course of auto repair at a local college. Everything went well, and finally the day of the final exam rolled around. His task: diagnose what was wrong with the car, take it apart, fix it and put it back together. He did, he hoped, and anxiously awaited his final grade. When the envelope arrived, he was surprised to find that out of a possible 100 points, he'd been given - 110. Happy, but a bit puzzled, he called the instructor to ask what the ten extra points were for. "Oh, that?" the instructor said. "Well, I gave you the full 50 points for correctly diagnosing and repairing the problem, and the full fifty for correctly reassembling the engine. The extra ten were for doing it all through the tailpipe!" (BTW, loved the parrot joke - I have two adorable wiseacre budgies who never fail to embarrass me at the worst times...)

By the way - does anyone have any idea how tall he really is? I'm guessing about five-seven? (I'm five feet tall myself, just barely, so yeah, to me, that's still kind of tall...)
