Holy shit, these ticket sales are insane. I thought I'd try and upgrade my seat, but anything better than what I've got is $400 and up!! I don't know what other cities are like, but obviously people are expecting something special from the Massey Hall show...
Might be. I'm sure Geddy has a lot of fine memories of that place. Might even be the only venue on this tour that the band ever played in. It is kind of a homecoming celebration. If I could choose, that would be where I'd go. No brainer.

Got on ticketmaster to buy tickets for The Beacon. YIKES ! Too much $$$ to listen to Geddy talk.
I fought with this for a week and decided the 35 minute Q and A was almost worth it for me so I compromised with a cheap seat even though that was slightly more than I wanted to spend on this. Star Trek convention vibe might be fun too. Kind of looking forward to it now which I suppose means I've chosen wisely.

I was there that night. Might be my favorite Rush show that I witnessed. Tough call. Didn't care about the four-hour drive home. I was flying that night after thinking I'd seen my last Rush show five years earlier.

Grohl and Bono both did The Beacon.
The Beacon may be just as likely. We'll know soon enough.

These seem very big venues for a spoken word event. Glasgow Royal Concert Hall holds around 2500 for example.
Sheffield City Hall is a poignant choice, the venue for the first Rush show outside of North America.
On that basis, Radio City might be in play. Holds a bit less than 6,000. I sure hope that's not an option, but if this is a limited tour it makes sense. Theater At Madison Square Garden probably in play. I think that's adjustable from almost 6,000 downward.
Best venue I could hope for is something with 1000 capacity, but I imagine that's highly unlikely.

Good question! On the page that a friend sent to me, there were a bunch of American Express ads for perks all over. I wonder if there will be an Am Ex presale code? I'll have to keep peeping next Friday when the UK tickets go on sale. Bruce Dickinson did something very similar in 2022 and 2023; I think prices for that were like $40.00 to $90.00. I would imagine Ged could charge more.
Definitely a little apprehensive about what this is going to cost. Suppose it's possible it includes a copy of the book. There are ways to get creative with this.

spoken word tour for UK just announced.....this is what i was hoping for. But, will he do other countries is the question!
Extensive community theater tour would be nice but I doubt that happens. I should start saving for the Merch now. What's the seating capacity on those UK venues?

Just did a search on Amazon, it brought up the Audible title...that would be cool if he narrates it himself. Curious why the hardcover didn't appear first... It's there, just had to click on another link, $36.
I'll by the audio version too if Geddy narrates it.

It's the first song on the first album with Neil, so to me it seems that was probably a factor.
That song included music from their first jam together which likely figured into it.

The interview to promote his solo album, which is being kept under lock and key for a while. I received a promo copy today, and it's...different from what you would expect. NOTHING to do with Dream Theater.
Good. I will no doubt enjoy it. I'd be disappointed if it did sound like Dream Theater.

Rush was a band with a paying gig, just about 1 week before Led Zeppelin's first show. (Zeptember 7, 1968)
Not something I ever linked. Wow. While true, those guys were seasoned before they became the mighty Zeppelin. Still that's pretty cool. Never though about that before.

No video. Perhaps it's in the vault somewhere. Or was forgotten about. Don Kirshners is the performance that was more widely circulated. A poor partial version even made it to the R30 bonus disc.

This makes me hopeful that there may be some uncirculated audio from the '70s still waiting to surface.
I will believe it when it does though...
I still think that the show with the full as previously unheard version of The Twilight Zone is out there somewhere.

If you never took the plunge the super deluxe version is currently $126 on Amazon
Still too much. I want the Super Deluxe Artbook with discs and Bluray for $30-$40.
Don't need the rest of the trinkets and most of the repros. Already have the originals. Don't need the vinyl either.
I can keep waiting.

I've said it before, I'll buy anything with a 2015 CD master as a stand alone release.

I've listened to the whole ep and listened to the previous album again.
The new material is MUCH better than the album was.
So they are going into the right direction, for sure.
There's only that one new song. The rest of the tracks were on the deluxe Edition. I'm hoping the new one makes it on to the 2nd album whenever that happens.
