  1. Didn't get a BUNCH of Ged shots, as I was on Alex's side... but a got a few decent ones. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs158.snc4/37214_1522955802618_1496301627_1318534_6910763_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs026.ash2/34673_1522954962597_1496301627_1318524_6098881_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs158.snc4/37214_1522955722616_1496301627_1318532_1032732_n.jpg EDIT: Just wanna make note -- This is July 5, 2010; Chicago, Illinois.
  2. QUOTE (DetachedandSubdivided @ Jul 10 2010, 08:46 PM) QUOTE (trenken @ Jul 10 2010, 08:41 PM) IF you are going to travel like that to an outdoor concert, you're taking a huge risk. I would never travel over maybe 2 hours by car to any outdoor concert, but then again, im smart. This case will get thrown out and you wont get a dime. they have the right to cancel shows for safety reasons you know. It's not for the bands safety, its for yours. There was lightning, they dont want thousands of ppl standing out there. They did the right thing genius. Sure, they have the right to cancel - but NOT the right to keep your cash and run off with it. There's a bit of a difference there. I was at the show - I don't blame them for cancelling (whoever's decision it was is irrelevant to me). BUT, if they decided not to perform, a ticket refund is just plain common sense (barring a rescheduled event). If they reschedule and our tickets are still valid, then I think Chris may easily be on the losing end of it. But if they don't reschedule, then I think it makes perfect sense that refunds are granted.
  3. QUOTE (BIAS2112 @ Jul 8 2010, 11:39 AM) QUOTE (Todem @ Jul 8 2010, 11:25 AM) QUOTE (BIAS2112 @ Jul 7 2010, 11:21 PM) My meet and greet was interesting. They shuffled us around in the secure area. back and forth, back and forth. They were waiting for the boys to finish dinner. All the while 'stormclouds were looming low and ominous' and 'thunderheads were rumbling in a distant overture' The venue has nothing but mobile out-buildings. No permanent structures except for the stage. After our rules briefing, they shuffled us into a large out-building that contained the dining hall in 4/5 of the space and the meet and greet studio in the remaining 1/5. There was a full buffet complete with chocolate covered strawberries, food, coffee, and there was a table that looked like the one in the final video of the show. I couldn't find the plate with the 'This sandwich for Neil only' sign on it though. They were very fast and borderline rude. I said 'thank you for a lifetimes worth of multi-faceted inspiration' while I shook Lerxt hand. He said thank you. I said 'Hi geddy' he siad Hi and we took the pic and I waved on my way out and said 'good luck on the rest of the tour'. It is an honor to have that chance, but it is so superficial. http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e280/ELECTRO-UNIQUE/MGlow1.jpg I'm the tall one next to Alex. The short guy is my coworker, he wanted to 'Slap that Bass' :-) Are you saying Alex and Geddy were borderline rude? Or the folks running the meet and greet. My journalistic skills rearing their ugly head again. The staff was borderline rude. Alex and Geddy were very nice. It is pretty "rush"ed... But they do have to get ready for the show, mind you. I was talking to one of the security guys and I guess they were just a tad bit behind schedule when it came to rolling by in their golf cart that escorted them to that dining area thing.
  4. QUOTE (Mara @ Jul 8 2010, 08:05 AM) She's friends with a close connection of Neil - Michael Mosbach. This. ^ And to the person who said Alex is a sweetheart... He is. I got introduced as the person who did their fan pages again and he was all happy and everything. Anyone hear of a rescheduling yet?
  5. ...The Chicago meet and greets went well. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs131.snc4/36920_1518835419611_1496301627_1308839_1618803_n.jpg My grandpa and I ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ I hugged Geddy and Alex and thanked Alex for the shirt he threw to me on the 5th. Geddy was shy, but nice... and said "Sure" when I asked if I could hug him. Alex hugged me happily! It was such a RUSH.... Sad that they couldn't play especially since I brought 2 friends to the show... It was their first RUSH concert... HOWEVER, I'm glad they're rescheduling!
  6. QUOTE (Mystic Rythm @ Jul 6 2010, 06:14 PM) QUOTE (The_Enemy_Within @ Jul 6 2010, 01:45 AM) Bring Us 2 (sticks) Bubba! Absolutely AWESOME! Nice sign. My 12 year old is a natural at the drums & I'm racking my brain trying to come up with a good sign. Any Ideas? My other idea was: WILL TRADE SAUSAGE FOR STICKS ...cuz of the sausage joke going on during the videos lol annd in reference to the wristbands, we did not have to give em back, but when i took that pic I had still had it on haha.

I didn't get a chance to look at the tour shirts this year, but I don't think so, since it's the ones they throw out before the encore. They may sell some on ebay or something, though, once more people get them maybe... I mean, if anyone would wanna sell it for some reason.
  8. So, originally my sister and I had row 20, on Alex's side. However, got to the venue, met up with my pal who some of you may know as Neil's motorcycle buddy / the security guy. He asked us where we were sitting, told him about 20th row, and then he gave us a wristband, which meant we got to stand at the barricade the ENTIRE show. My sister, 12, cried out of happiness! So we stood center-left... mostly to the left of the stage, in front of Alex. OMG! We also had a sign made. I put....... Bring Us 2 (sticks) Bubba! Intermission came... and I see the Mike walking up with both of the sticks in his hands. He handed it to another guard to hand over to us. Another RUSH of excitement... Then the other security guy came around... not too sure of his name... but he handed us each a Time Machine guitar pick. And when the guys threw shirts out before their encore songs, Alex looked right at me and lightly tossed the shirt to me so I could catch it. I was SO stoked, and just the way he looked down at my sister and I melted us. THE SHOW ITSELF... ...Was great! The guys had a TON of energy as always, and I definitely saw Neil smiling a lot, which is always good. The setlist had me pumped, the lighting had me pumped. The ONLY thing I wish they could have done was the fire. I know they did it in WI, since I was there... so I'm not 100% why they didn't do it tonight. Wasn't working? Or maybe the stage was too small? Either way, the show was NOT a disappointment. Such a wonderful memory to have. I love the boys SO much. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs161.snc4/37404_1516377198157_1496301627_1303607_7169032_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs139.snc4/37264_1516375598117_1496301627_1303602_1149251_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs078.snc4/35274_1516434479589_1496301627_1303774_63289_n.jpg
