I'll have to check them out! Pop punk is honestly my favorite genre
If you're going to then I suggest their first album Earth Vs The Wildhearts

To my ears, there is only one band who "does" this genre properly and that's The Wildhearts.

I hate Christmas with a passion but force myself to go along with the nonsense so as to appease family.....I have as little to do with the present malarkey as I possibly can though.

Same old England, as soon as they meet a good team in the QF or Semis they get beat.
I know...tragic isn't it?

Here's another one.....
Journey
Apart from three decent early albums horrible horrible rock-lite blandola
And Steve Perrys voice grates on my ears.

Halestorm (I really dislike the music but every time I see a picture of the lead singer with her mouth wide open posing like she's a hard bitch I roll my eyes so far back I go blind. If I was to go blind and read her name in braille, it would prompt me to burn my fingertips off.)
Completely agree with you...the only reason they get any attention imo is that Hale has an undeniably great voice.
However their music is cheesy, derivative and has terrible lyrics
It's the reason they do a plethora of covers, because they can't write any decent songs of their own.

Nickelback
Genesis
Pink Floyd
Dream Theater
The Beatles
Any of those modern, wimpy hipster pish outfits like Mumford and Sons and Ed Sheeran
Halestorm
Most modern mental bands who rely on downtuning to sound heavy

Yes, her and this guy are my two favorite reactors, two people with higher-end musical backgrounds. Really, I look for reactions from musicians as they're less likely to fake their enthusiasm.
I prefer this guy https://www.youtube.com/@KeyOfGeebz/videos
to Doug, but he's still good.

I saw most of an interview she did with James LaBrie a while back. Actors don’t get interviews with James LaBrie and have in depth discussions about their technique and their career and their big traumatic vocal injury. She’s the real deal.
I agree...I was trying to say that in a roundabout way...faking these reactions would be practically impossible.....she's a joy to watch.

She`s a sweetheart. An ex of mine considered her to be cynically pretending an enjoyment of rock and metal, whereas I believe she is genuinely in awe.
I agree.....if she's an actor then she's a very, very good one.

It's a great review, saw it yesterday...she always gives some perspective I never noticed before because of her trained ear.
One of the few reactors on YT I would bother with.

45.....most of these looked like identikit versions of the same band.

Christ on a bike, it gets worse.....fantastic and underrated player who had this amazing technique of playing rhythm and lead at the same time....he leaves a classic legacy of blues/rock music bith with the incomparable Dr Feelgood and solo.....his recent collaboration with Roger Daltrey is excellent listening.
RIP
