  2. Yeah for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did the other thread have any hints? I got Limbo after your first hint but due to operator error (again) I didn't follow the rules and thought it to be wrong at first.

  10. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Sep 16 2006, 07:34 PM) Is #5 possibly Out of the Cradle? Sounds like a VT song to me... I say no because the first thing I hear is big keyboards and VT had none so...

  14. Good to see some other fans around. I really like Blue Bell Knoll. That's the album that got me hooked.
  15. I fell in love with this band at age 18 while working as a bus boy in a restaurant. During our pre opening set up routine, the waiter I worked for would listen to this airy, hipnotic and angelic sounding music. Being the rocker that I am, I hated it at first but the amazing voice and the guitar work just was too much to ignore so I quickly became a fan. I've seen them live twice and they were amazing both times. They are no longer together but they live on via my Windows Media Player. So, any fans?
  16. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jul 5 2006, 02:28 PM) EDIT: I'm glad The English Patient was a rental. Elaine Benes was right about that one. ("Because... it sucked.") Sex in a bathtub...that doesn't work. Give me something I can use!
  17. The guitar solo in Soliloquy is by far the most emotion filled, exhilarating sound I have ever heard in my life. So full of passion and fire. You can feel every note as the hair on your arms stands up. I say 2112 but specifically, Soliloquy.
  18. QUOTE (JARG @ May 26 2006, 03:58 PM) Another favorite musical moment is Alex's flub near the beginning of Closer To The Heart (studio version). The intro is played on a 12 string and Alex accidentially strikes the same note twice during the intro. I love the way they decided to leave that in. That could have easily been repaired. I'm just finding this thread but the one I always liked is in Xanadu in the middle of the guitar solo (9:53) where Alex is on some lower notes on the fretboard and then moves up the fretboard to some higher bends. You can hear him just release the strings and they sort of ring out until he grabs the higher nots. Almost as if you just hit the strings with your hand. My favorite has to be the sneeze in Farewell to Kings on Different Stages Disc #3. Some may say it's the hi-hat but you can distinctly hear a human sounding voice in the sneeze. Listen at 4:20 to 4:23. Let me know what your opinion is.
  19. Afterimage for sure. One of the few times I prefer a song for the lyrics over the music.
