  2. QUOTE (kazzman @ Jun 25 2005, 10:11 PM) Tesla - Into the Now Def Leppard - Hysteria Wow Kazz, I wouldn't have taken you as a Def Leppard kinda guy. Hysteria is a Great record!! Gotta love Mutt Lange.
  3. John Butler Trio , 'Sunrise Over Sea'. Great stuff here! JohnButlerTrio.net
  4. I love country music, well most of it. Only after I opened my ears and gave it a chance did I realize that some of the best songwriters and musicians are country artists. I would much rather listen to country that almost ANY of the new rock crap out there!
  5. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jun 10 2005, 10:16 PM) The computer generated sections are great, especially during the intrumental break in "Miracles Out Of Nowhere." That "music machine" is playing that section very accurately, and that section is pretty complicated. Here's a good shot of it from the DVD cover: Do you have the ability to make an mpeg from the 'music machine' section? I would love to just have that!
  6. Got it, the name of the computer generated dvd is 'Device-Voice-Drums'. It's so frickin cool!! The bands website is Kansasband.com
  7. A few years ago they came out with a dvd that was computer generated graphics of the band members playing. I've only seen it once and can't remember the name of the dvd (too lazy to look it up also). It's one of the coolest CGG things I've ever seen.
  8. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jun 9 2005, 09:09 PM) I sent GG copies of "Magnum Opus" and "Miracles Out Of Nowhere" a while ago. Did she listen to them? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... 'Miracles out of Nowhere' is one of the greatest tunes ever written. Lets not forget 'Song For America'! I would be happy to send a mixed cd of this band to Anyone, who wants to listen. Steve Walsh is/was one of the best rock singers.
  9. Heard a Kansas tune on the radio today and thought this would make a good topic for Rush fans. I have always considered them one of my favorite bands. I have seen them in concert about 10 times, always an amazing musical show! Anyone (young fans especially) who have never heard this group, please check them out. Great, great vocals, musicianship and song writting. Forgot how much this band influenced my music career. A true inspiration!
  10. Did you know that David Gilmour played most of the bass lines on The Wall? Because Roger was to f***'d in the head to perform! If you ask me, David Gilmour IS Pink Floyd. (prepares for bashing...) For the record, they are probably my favorite band.

    Neil Peart Q&A

WOW...I had to take a break from that and finish reading War and Peace! Great posting Riv. Thanks, a lot of cool info there.
  12. Anyone watch this show last night? Wow, Gordon Ramsay is a real prick! I know it's all for tv but it was way overboard if you ask me. Those poor people are in for a long, rough ride. Here's the Site
  13. KISS Dec 7, 1977 at 'The CheckerDome' in St. Louis. My father took me... I remember him saying, "The building is shaking". And "do you know what that is" (watching the row in front of us pass a pipe along). Great show, made me a musician!!!
  14. I have so many favorite guitar leads/solos in various songs. Curious what everyones favorites are, from any band/individual. *Comfortably Numb - David Gilmore ...just a perfect melody and rhythm, beautiful, very 'vocal'. * Blue Powder - Steve Vai ...amazing use of amplification, great feel and rhythm.
  15. Sarah McLachlan (if anything Stevie Nicks sang were 'audible', I might think about that one)
  16. Very clever rickyrob !!
  17. The Wizard of Oz, That Thing You Do, Jerry McGuire, The Green Mile
  18. PW and HYF are my favorite albums because the writting was so good back then. The songs had meaning and soul, and the recordings were really great also. Middletown Dreams is just a great example of great songwritting and playing. It and Mission are like brother and sister!!!!
  19. I love all those guys! Everyone should go buy Ron White's DVD "They call me tater salad". It's so funny!
  20. No I didn't sell...and I'm glad now. I will put together a small photography package for ya. I'll post it tonight, have a busy day ahead.
  21. Nice RR !! Are you using a digital camera or film? Do you have a 'T-mount' for your camera?
  22. Who do you think is the best TV character/personality to ever grace the screen? Tough question huh? You can name up to 3 in order! 1) Homer Simpson (think about it)
  23. Las Vegas American Dreams CSI Miami Boston Legal (great show) 24 ER Crank Yankers Who's Line Is It? and of course...Seinfeld
