    They are saying on the news now that some rioters who saw themselves on TV have turned themselves in to the police. Also they are getting tons of tips from the public as to the identities of these freaks. They will be treated as pariahs from now on! Once they are identified I'm sure the 50 business owners who's livelyhoods have been affected will be suing them personally for damages. The bulk of the idiots doing the most damage looked to be under 25 so that should do well to ruin the rest of their lives. I said the "bulk" of the rioters, not ALL of them.

     

    As a parent (of a 23 year old), I keep wondering how one must feel if you saw your kid on tv or in one of the horrendous photos. That would be so awful.

     

    It is very heartening to see the city come together (the normal people, anyway) and offer up support.

    Wow, I am just stunned and sickened at the events that went down in Vancouver last night. What a horror show and a blight on a beautiful city sad.gif Those f*ckin' idiots, I hope they get every last one of them and make them pay for their crimes.

     

    Congratulations to the Bruins, they deserved the win. They were the better team, no doubt. Canucks just didn't have the jam to get it done at the end. You can't score 8 goals in a 7-game series and expect to win. As a fan, I kept hope and faith but really, saw the writing on the wall after game 6.

     

    Canucks had the best season in their history and were a pleasure to watch all season long.

     

    For the record, I don't live in Vancouver, I live on Vancouver Island and wasn't there last night. I hope all the evidence of the rioting is gone before I go there in two weeks to see 2.gif

    There will be no next movie...This is it for TPB apparently.

    That could very well be but I wouldn't be surprised if there's something more in the years to come.

    I saw this last night. As far as ALL the TPBs shows and movies go, I thought it was the weakest. Story line, meh. Not enough other characters - you got to see Cyrus but he didn't speak, that was it, you only got to see him and I hoped there would be more with him as well as others. Not enough (or any, really) Ricky-isms.

     

    It was fun to keep my eyes peeled for the "Alex sighting." You gotta look hard, you may not recognize him wink.gif Check out the credits at the end to see his. Also, don't get up and leave right away as there's a "J to the R-O-C" clip.

     

    I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. Still, a must-see for any and all Trailer Park Boys fans and I'll be at the opening night for their next movie, whenever that may be.

    Until the Final Hour - Hitler's Last Secretary by Traudl Junge (who was actually Hitler's secretary from 1942 until his death April 30 1945). It's fascinating stuff and was recently made into a movie called The Downfall (excellent movie too, btw).

    Tonight we watched Get Smart. While an "ok" movie on it's own, it's a pale comparison to the original series. The best parts were the old stand-bys like "would you believe...." "missed it by *that* much" and "your shoe is ringing." Was a bit of a slow starter but did improve. I'd give it a 6/10.

     

    That was actually the second movie of a double-header tonight - the first movie we watched was Army of Darkness (for the 100th time wub.gif )

    Definitely. I've heard Mike talk about it a few times. It won't be a "show," but many shows from the tour...like 5 Years in a Livetime. He had planned on doing an "in-store" thing with Mikael Akerfeldt, but it didn't happen. He said he wanted to use it on the dvd. If you want the latest news...go to mikeportnoy.com forums. He does everything there first.

    That's great news! I like the complete concerts, but the 5YIAL concept with all those kewl little snippets and cameos of other bands, musicians, is great, too. Looking fwd to it!!! 1022.gif

    They were definitely filming the Vancouver show on May 6th smile.gif

    I will definitely buy it!

     

    I am over the top with joy over the news that DT will be playing in VANCOUVER on May 6th. YIPPEE!!! They've never been to BC before. I've seen them twice in Seattle in '03 and '04, that's the closest. Before that it had been 8 years since they'd been to Seattle.
