Yes, there were several moments that required me to hold back some tears. While some of those moments were due to the sense of an end of the road, there were also some that had more to do with remembering all the enjoyment throughout the years of their music and concerts. One part that seemed odd to me was the part where Neil says something along the lines that in 8 years he'll be 71 and there's no way he can play his drum parts at that age. He says he could play Charlie Watt's parts (which was a very funny), but not his. I find it odd that he picks such a long time from now. It seems odd to me that he would be saying since he can't do this for another 8 years , I'm done now. Maybe it's one of those taken out of context things.

While I'm as hopefully the run is not over as anyone else, I don't think he was referring to Rush in that statement. You put it in quotes as though he said that, but he didn't. He didn't include "Rush". Look a couple of sentences before those words. He said "We’ve been following up on some other interests that we both have, and we’ve been learning to get used to the idea." The WE he's referring to, in my opinion and sadly enough, is just him and Geddy. He even says "we both have". Again, I would be thrilled at more Rush, but Neil's new book sure doesn't seem to leave me with an impression that it's even remotely possible.
