  5. QUOTE (BSG @ Nov 15 2004, 01:55 PM) How do you keep a programmer in the shower all day? Give him a bottle of shampoo which says "lather, rinse, repeat." Rich Hall did a whole stand up routine on that subject once... "Lather, rinse.. Repeat. HMMMMMMMM It doesn't say anything about stoping here....... " It was funny as hell..

    YYZ

I found this: 29. Toronto Pearson International Airport Toronto, Ontario Canada (YYZ) 25,930,363 The 29th busiest Airport in the world.. But when I searched for YYZ or Toronto I came up with nothing... Oh well, what does it really matter..

    YYZ

I looked at that website and couldn't find YYZ or a listing for an airport in Toronto..?? I'm probably missing something.
  14. "The Puffy Shirt".. I'm not sure why, but that was just so "Seinfeld"... All to do about nothing.. A stupid shirt.
  15. Marillion started out as "Silmarillion" after the JRR Tolkein book... After a short time they shortened the name to just "Marillion" OK, I know it's a book not a movie, so just shoot me!!
  16. QUOTE (slacker @ Oct 23 2004, 01:52 AM) to me they were both great vt tour i got to hear a song i never heard em play before , that would be witch hunt.always one of my favorits....this past tour when they played bytoy ,well that just blew my mine.... I'm thinking you are talking about Vital Signs?? They did not play Witch Hunt on either the VT or R30 tour.....
  17. I am voting for R30 tour because of Between the Wheels, Subdivisions, Red Barchetta, the R30 opening. I missed hearing Natural Science, but that was a small price to pay to hear these others... Plus, I got to see the R30 tour 5 times, so that helped my decision also!!
  18. Tell us which tour you enjoyed the most and why.
  19. I'm not a huge movie buff, but since DVD's started becoming the standand (and affordable) I've been building a nice collection. I rented a movie a few years ago that I knew nothing about, just took a chance on an old movie. My wife and I have liked other movies based on Agatha Christie plays. So we rented Witness For The Prosecution (1957). It's a good movie, entertaining with a decent story, but the thing I fell in love with is Charles Laughton. He was so damn funny. Every time he moves or opens his mouth I was laughing out loud. Just an incredible British wit and scathing sarcasm.. I now own this on DVD. I'm sure some of you have seen it but I felt it was worth mentioning. Witness For The Prosecution
  20. LOL, I heard that same joke about 10 years ago with Billy Boy instead of Kerry.

QUOTE (Rivendell @ Oct 16 2004, 05:55 AM) I love Natural Science. It has to be the second biggest thrill for me at a Rush concert. The biggest was hearing The Analog Kid on the CP tour. Back then the internet wasn't as huge, so the set list was never known before the show. When they busted into TAK I almost had an out of body experience. This was when I was still in High School and had only discovered them from fellow drummers a couple of years earlier...so at that period they were the mightiest of God's in my eyes. At this point and having many friends in the industry I know I will never have that feeling again to that extreme. Crazy. Natural Science is a real close second...hell who am I kidding, there's no way to have a favorite or second favorite Rush song. If you think you do you are subconsciously letting yourself be fooled because you are tired of pondering the question. Anyways, back to the point...as if I ever touched on one....I'm glad they don't play The Analog Kid and NS every tour. If they did those moments that are memories would lose some sort of credibility. For example....I love the setlists they produce, but the songs that are the staples don't do much for me anymore. I couldn't be happier that they ditched Closer To The Heart. Let me put it like this, and you know what I mean. At a Rush show there are songs that just drive you crazy with excitement , "can't stop moving" ... and there are others that you love, but you're cool with using them as your catch your breath time. For F's sake, am I making any sense to anyone? Dude, I had that same feeling when they played the Analog Kid on CP tour.. My jaw hit the floor.. It was so awesome. TAK and NS are in my top 3 Rush songs. Now this past tour Between the Wheels was that song.. Strickly because they never play it!! I love that song, but if they played it every tour I wouldn't have been near as excited about it! Back in 96 when I heard NS was being played on T4E tour, I was totally stoked 'cause they hadn't played it since MP tour (and I had never heard it live at this point).. So that was HUGE!! But now since they played it on T4E and VT (plus we have it on DS and RIR) it's not as big a deal to me that they skipped it this time around. It's all about hearing something you haven't heard in a long time, or ever!! For me that is always the best part of their shows. Tom Saywer, Spirit of Radio. Two of the greatest songs ever! Do I need to hear them every show? No.
  23. Oh me, now we are talking about Pharmisutical Drugs Oh my, can't we just get back to kisses and hugs And since we are talking about Nioxin We can't forget the Pharm name for Viagra: Mycoxafloppin I think that now I might be on a roll so butter me up and give me TP for my Bung Hole!!
  24. This is quite a Thread That started because of Zed That voice in my head Are lyrics from Ged I need to go to bed! This thread simply proves That RUSH fans are quite smooth With their Wisdom and their Wit Maybe we are full of ....? But soon this thread will pass Before it becomes a pain in the ass Like memories from the past Through the eyes of the looking-glass Tomorrow is a new day I must leave this fray To others who will certainly say "Just go the hell away!" I could go on and on And continue this song But now it is getting long And the ideas are about gone But before I go I have just one thing to say Don't ever eat snow On a sunny day
