Just saw Al Di Meola last week.
Todd Rundgren has a free show in LA this summer. I'll most likely go to that cause I saw him a couple months ago and he was great!
I have a ticket for Anderson Rabin Wakeman - ARW , for this fall. Can't wait to see ol Rick again!
I saw Todd at Brooklyn Bowl last month - SOOO good! He's nuts, but it was a great show!

A buddy has an extra ticket for the P Gabriel / Sting show. I have my doubts. Think I should go?
I think you should go if you can.
I saw them a week ago in NYC - SO good, they were great separately and together and their back up musicians were so tight. Great show.

Interesting thread.
I'm making spaghetti.
Technically I'm not following the rules...but I felt like posting.
I had spaghetti too. But it was too boring for a picture.

I never ate breakfast when I was a little girl or in high school, and I eat breakfast almost three hours after I wake up now. Except for coffee.
Never wake up hungry either. Still often am not hungry three hours later.
I could never wait three hours after I woke up to eat!!

I am not ashamed to say I am a HUGE John Denver fan (call me eclectic) - and you gave me the great idea to start pulling up his music to practice with, too.

My dog died last night. He was a nearly 13 year old Golden Retriever and he had a good life, but man, I'm really gonna miss him. RIP Mojo.
Really sorry for your loss, Stormtron. My dog Mike is getting older; he's a mix of Catahoula and Plott hound. He'll be eleven in a couple of months. He has slowed down, but he's still in very good health, for now. I know I'll never have another dog like him. He is one of a kind, man.
Dogs dying is always so sad.
Catahoula and Plott, wow, those are two breeds that most people have never heard of.
(oh, sorry, no disrespect to those above who lost people family members, of course, even sadder and more awful.)

Watermelon and
Ok, that's just weird, lol!
Why?
It just seems like the coffee would totally ruin the taste of the watermelon!?
First of all,
I am 56 yrs.old. Never liked eating a big breakfast my whole life. Second, coffee is priority when I wake up. After about an hour I eat some fruit. Any thing that is light and not too filling. That's when I eat some thing. I never wake up hungry. It's not like I am chomping down on food and coffee at the same time. It's a slow process.
Ah, I see. Well that's ok then! Well I'm about to have little Debbie zebra cakes and milk for breakfast, so who am I to judge??
It's all good. Out of five kids growing up. I was always the last one to leave the table. :D
What a coincidence! Out of 6 kids growing up, I was always the last one to leave the table. I was (and still am) a slow eater.
I'm an only child and while I don't remember I'm sure that my parents were not allowed to leave the table until I was done talking!! :D

I'm out of work since March, so while there's a lot I want, it all has to wait.... : (

I'm wayyyy behind all of you, still learning, but I did a ladies rock camp last weekend and our coach taught us Purple Rain, so I'm working on that.

For me it wasn't a song but a boy, in 11th grade, he and his band did "working man" in the talent show, but at the time I didn't know who Rush was. We started hanging out and he told me and I bought ESL (cassette) and we would listen to it constantly driving around town. I think it was probably The Trees though that really drew me in.

This is my favorite album of theirs!

Laura, that's really wonderful. You were so close to Alex you could have leaned over and touched his leg. Were you given instructions not to touch them?
I think it's great that you remember so much. When I get excited, my mind goes blank and I have a hard time remembering anything afterward. And I know that if I ever had the chance you had, forget it.
Haha, no we weren't told not to, but I figured it would't be a good idea!!
What I do forget though, is what the actual answer to my question was, so I hope it's not edited out of the Sirius broadcast!!

this was the other one, it's not my photo so it's kind of small. I'm on the left! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153574130073277&l=19e1a7cdc0

Nice pic! I think I'd have a hard time not hugging Geddy. :)
I just shook both their hands when we got there and said hi, we took the picture, I said thank you, and then I shook Alex's hand again.

LOL, they did look comfy! So crazy to be so close to them and see all the details. I just couldn't get over seeing Alex's famous fingers!

Laura, that's wonderful. You are so very fortunate. Imagine being so close to them.
As for Geddy being cool, I get the impression that he is usually that way during meet and greets. Very reserved and stand-offish. I think it's his way of protecting himself, even after all these years. The only meet and greet picture I ever saw that he looked really friendly was the one Greyfriar has from his meet and greet.
I can see the picture too! Everyone looks happy!!
What kind of boots was Geddy wearing? They look suede.
yes, they were! They were short boots.
