Happy birthday

I finally realized why the TRF banner looked different to me...it's what's missing...

 

That was the very first thing I noticed when the site was up and running again.

Yes, it was time though.

 

I know, but it still makes me sad. Though the banner made me sad too!

Anyone??? Know anyone???

I took drum lessons for a short while at School of Rock (my second instrument after the obligatory piano lessons as an 8 year old with the lady across the street, lol) and learned Come Together. It was SO FUN.

I finally realized why the TRF banner looked different to me...it's what's missing...

I have one of their albums: Misplaced Childhood. It's good enough for me to really enjoy it but I always come away feeling like I stopped paying attention by accident somewhere in the middle. Is there something else I should check out by them?

If anybody knows someone who wants one ticket to see Styx do the full Mission album at the Beacon in New York on 3/16 please let me know. I got myself a better seat. It’s in the second row at the end of the aisle on the Tommy Shaw side.

Well besides my beloved Styx (for which I am trying to sell a second row ticket, as posted elsewhere on here), I just got a ticket for Midnight Oil in NYC on 6/19. Final tour. Only ever saw them on the flatbed truck in NYC protesting the Exxon Valdez in 1990, but have been a fan since before then.

If anybody knows someone who wants one ticket to see Styx do the full Mission album at the Beacon in New York on 3/16 please let me know. I got myself a better seat. It’s in the second row at the end of the aisle on the Tommy Shaw side.

I'm all about Fish, lol. With Marillion and without.

I love the Game!

Well I WANTED to go see Paul McCartney at Met Life Stadium but my two friends who said they wanted to go backed out. Boooo.

 

By the time I got around to checking during the pre-sale the other day the only tickets left were $455 a piece and that was on the Ticketbastard site. I guess it's not to be unless I get lucky via the regular sale tomorrow.

 

I hear ya. I had tickets (before they changed their mind) in my cart and got the "can't do it on this device, check that you're logged in" bullshit. But then they backed out, said it was too expensive. And I know, stadium shows ARE expensive, but....it's Paul McCartney! I wouldn't do it for many other bands. Like, Metallica, U2, Bruce, and Sir Paul. Oh, and Billy Joel and Elton John. Groups that everyone sings along, that's always fun in a stadium.

 

And @BlueJ, you KNOW I go to shows alone, but I wouldn't for this one, unless I had a bunch of friends going in which case I would, only because I'd tailgate with them beforehand. But I wouldn't go by myself if nobody I knew was even going.

i've had issues with the desktop on and off for a while,

Postponed. The word about things lifting in Canada came too late for them to solidify their plans, apparently.

Really I hadn't heard yet. Oh well. Just got notice that George Thorogood cancelled his Canadian tour until 2023. I fear some of these artists will either retire or pass away before we ever get a chance to see them again up here.

 

Oh, bummer about George Thorogood! I wonder why, I mean, things are opening up. But as for AN4N, it was on Facebook. I mean, I get that there's a lot of different artists involved in it, but it just seems like they've bitten off more than they can chew.
