Hm. Maybe Grand Illusion. But most of my favorites are not hits.

Asia on Tuesday with Focus, Curved Air and Martin Turner's ex Ash Wishbone. But right now it's really bad ticket sales, it's less than half a house sold!
-
Okay I'm going to see Asia next month and it's current iteration and John Mitchell is on guitar. So as a big Fish fan I'm very excited about that and I started looking into everything that he's done and I stumbled across Frost.* And became immediately obsessed. Especially with Milliontown.
I don't know what it is but I just love their sound!

Stones were fantastic on Thursday. The t-storms rolled through last morning but the weather was perfect for an outdoor show.
Going back for more tonight.
I've said this many times before but I think this will be The Last Time is see The Stones live.
Soooo good, and we're going again too, we grabbed side stage on Friday afternoon!!
Gimme Shelter was my highlight. Chanel is fierce!!

Sounds like a lot of fun!
Throughout the spring I've practiced almost exclusively the basics of walking bass. Now it seems to have reached the point where playing a pretty vivid bass line to an easy song like Blue Bossa is possible. I rejoice!
Oh how fun!

How was Todd ?
It was good, he sounded great. But most of the crowd was the same as we were, we liked it but we didn't love it. I made that observation based on Applause which was less than raucous until the Encore when he started hello it's me but then he did a little medley of that can we still be friends and I Saw The Light which was kind of lame.
I did know a couple of the songs and they were really good but the majority of them I did not know at all. I'm not really a huge fan of his biggest songs, I seem to like the ones that are somewhere in the middle.
But, it's always fun to see him!

When I’ve played this live I would set a tambourine on my floor tom and just strike it.That seems good, and certainly easy enough! I figured someone would know exactly the part I was talking about.

Funny, we're doing FF's Learn to Fly in my Adult School of Rock and we were trying to rig something up for the tambourine. I just hung it off a separate guitar stand for him within reach. Far from perfect but it worked. But then we decided the other drummer will just do that part.

Todd Rundgren on Thursday. Looks like a deep cuts setlist, so not as excited as usual, but it's super close to home, cheap, and a small theater!

I must've missed it, i think i heard a bit too late! I would've died seeing James and the boys.
Besides being a huge EJ fan.

How did you get on cancellation list?

Yes!
My son was there as a seat filler (he lives in DC and some Senator didn't show up) and was in the fifth row. He was blown away by Metallica! I enjoyed the whole thing but they were the most awesome. It was fun when they showed audience shots of James Hetfield through the show and he was having so much fun singing along to Elton!
Omg!!!!

I met him, too. Quirky guy.
