  1. Moving on to next QB predictions:

    1. Big Ben gets cut or retires in Pittsburgh. That one isn't a stretch...he's toast.

    2. Winston resigns in New Orleans and they keep him on a short leash. That's an easy one.

    3. Raidahs re-sign Mariotta for starter and trade Carr to Indy. Gruden has 0 patience for QBs and always blames them for his problems (even thought their D sucks).

    4. Fitzpatrick...hmmm, always the hired one year gun. I think he goes to....New England.

    5. Trubisky goes to Washington. The only team dumb enough to take a chance on this stiff.

  2. If this trade is finalized, the Rams will have gone from 2017 to 2023 with no first round picks.

Mcvay lost patience with Goff because of turnovers. Stafford has the same tendency, especially late in games. Plus Stafford has a history of back issues. I could see this really backfiring on the Rams.

Cali boy Goff can't be too pleased about his exile to the tundra.

At least Goff's contract is tolerable for 2 years. Wentz's deal is a 3-4 year curse to unload.

Rams are $35m over the cap after this. Detroit is about $10m over.

Really surprised Indy didn't make a strong play in this since they're $68m under the cap. But Stafford gave a list of 4 preferable teams and maybe Indy wasn't one of them.

  3. Trade announced. Stafford for Goff plus Rams 3rd rounder this year and Rams 1st in 2022 and 2023.

While Goff is not as good as Stafford, this trade works for the Lions for the draft picks. Plus Goff's contract could be dumped after this year for $15m in dead cap and $0 dead cap if they keep him after 2022. So that allows them to wait until next year to draft a QB.

As for the Rams...better win this year baby. We'll certainly find out the reason why Stafford hasn't won a playoff game in his career.

Watson was the superior option to Stafford, but his price was probably higher.

  4. ELP wins the award for crash and burn. Oh we're contracted for one more album...here ya go with 'Love Beach'. Now pay us...and f**k you we're done.

I bet you enjoy Love Beach secretly, it's just you fear losing your prog card if you admit it!

two out of five stars average rating. I'd call that extremely generous.

  5. Anything that uses the word bereft is worth a thread.

Any story that contains the following words - `no scintilla of tuna` - renders it doubly threadworthy.

"...negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, common-law fraud."

Can a lawsuit against a fast food chain win a Pulitzer?

I refer to it as tuna squish...a mildly fish flavored pile of mayo.

  6. The last time the Lions raided New Orleans staff it was for their OC Lombardi. He was a flop that didn't last a season. Now they give a guy who's never been an OC a 6 year contract. He suckered them, which isn't hard to do. "Well since we're trading Stafford, we're in rebuilding mode and will need 2-3 seasons for the new QB". Ok sure, here's 3 additional years to your deal. Welcome to the Lions where you're paid well with no expectations.

That Texans hire looks equally puzzling. They went out of their way to piss off Watson.

Saleh to the Jets look promising, but like the Lions it's more of the general organization that's the problem.

  7. maybe remind them that the latest Edge is basically warmed over Chrome.

we run over 600 applications where I work in IT, many browser based. We simply couldn't afford to be browser Nazis since the applications largely dictate the browser. Been moving steadily to Chrome or Firefox and away from IE. In many cases, when we have problems running something in IE, it runs in Chrome without any issues. But we don't develop our own apps which adds a level of complexity.

Our little slice of hell is that we've shrunk to nearly half-staff since we can't find qualified candidates (that actually show up). So more work on everyone that's overworked already. We had 3 people accept offers to later turn them down.

  8. Now we just need to hide to avoid hearing all the pre-game pablum. This year's captain obvious is 'hey the buccaneers are playing in their home stadium!'. Soon to replace the 'hey the coaches are brothers!' in popularity.

Ever watch the superbowl in a room of people that watch one game a year? It's a special slice of hell; 'I just watch to see the commercials', 'wow they both have red in their uniforms...how do they tell who's on their team?', 'doesn't brady play for the New England team?'.

One question that's definitely been answered: was it belichick or brady carrying the Pats all these years. It's Brady bitches.

  9. They don't call a f*cking thing all day, and then they call THAT.

It was too blatant and obvious to not call. But there were plenty of others that seemed to be pretty obvious too that they didn't call for who know what reasons.

Precisely my point. Lazard was having his jersey pulled off his shoulder pads all game long.

The game was lost when LaFleur was a :pussy: and didn't go for it on 4th and goal. If you don't make it you pin them deep and hope your D can get the ball back around midfield with 1:30 or so.

  10. RIP to Larry King.

On a side note, a minor annoyance I found was with the 'rapid fire question game' that occurred with the guests.

The irony to this is that Larry King offered advice on how to be a great conversationalist as noted here.

"Pay attention to your pace. Don’t throw out rapid fire questions. Allow the other person to catch his or her breath. If he or she says something interesting, pause for a few seconds to show that you are processing the answer."

Boy that strikes home, as I consistently find it annoying when someone interrupts me mid-sentence. Especially note worthy on Teams or Zoom meetings. Take a f***ing breath people you don't have to dominate the discussion.

  11. Here's a novel idea. Have Jeff Bezos and Amazon handle all the vaccine distribution. Say what you want about Amazon, but they know distribution. Have a medical tech ride in every Amazon delivery truck with vaccines. Want your vaccine with your delivery? Boom, done!

If the government ran Amazon it would take 3 months to get our deliveries.

  12. That was really good........errr....I mean bad LOL

I ain’t clicking on that. NO WAY!!

The final clip with a Comfortably Numb Cover is a must see in a car crash kind of way.

After that I have so much more respect for Nickleback.

It's obvious more than ever that Guitar Center doesn't give a shit who they sell gear to.

At least the kid with the 30 foot guitar flip had the right idea.

  13. reminds me of one of my many travel baseball games with my son. The umpires were not very good.

One game...first pitch...tha thump (ball hitting dirt before glove)...strike! Aww come on man that was in the dirt!

Second pitch...tha thump...strike! Come on man, Stevie Wonder could hear that was low from over here!

He didn't like that and I hate to bite my lip the rest of the game.

I actually umpired for 3 years so I could take it as well as dish it out.
