Center and aisle seats would be better.

Exceptionally great! The drummer really hits a homerun with his singing, especially with the pre-Moving Pictures stuff.
Hope to catch one of your shows!
No doubt! Awesome singing and drumming. The next time I run into Neil, I'm gonna tell him 'so mr. 1500 year old log drum kit, there's this guy that can play your drum parts spot on AND sing like Geddy. Guess you're not so awesome afterall right?'
And then he'll have Micheal kick my ass.

Rush is also the only band in the world where you can pick up some C# or Java programming tips from the guy sitting next to you. :fuckinputer:
i only know C++ :(
well here's your chance to broaden your skills. Come early and bring your laptop.

The only tip I have is for the most part, just put away the smartphone. Unless you have great seats in front, you won't get great pictures or video and it's annoying enough looking past heads without also having to look past smartphones. They will definately do a video release of this tour, so just wait to buy that and enjoy a professionally made video of the concert. Or if you're cheap like me, watch the free copy on youtube.

My first concert was Signals tour in 83. Small hockey arena with 6000 max attendance. No floor seating so it was relatively easy to elbow your way up front. I didn't have a car so I took the city bus to the rink. Didn't have a ride home until I ran into some dorm buddies. But those were minor inconveniences...it was rush man. Don't remember much about the set list except it was obviously MP and Signals heavy.

I advanced beyond the single triangle and now play the double triangle, or double tri as I refer to it. My inspiration was Alex's double neck SG and Geddy's double neck Ricky.

I think they would've been better served by playing something easier off the earlier albums...maybe What your doing or Something for nothing.

The one part that really got to me the most is where black started singing the sprit of radio lyrics...that was so cheessy....
I bet you $20 he needed to read the lyrics from a teleprompter or cue card. I bet he can't name more than 5 Rush albums.
He's like an obnoxious wanna be fanboi who asks 'so have Rush put out any new albums lately?'

I actually put Hemispheres at their #1 70s album, even ahead of Permanent Waves. Very, very complex and it catches them at their creative peak IMO. No throw away songs.
But I guess I could see if someone considered Hemi as a little too self indulgent. It's not an easy album to get your head around.

Yep love it. Definately top 5 Rush Album on anyone's list.
Current voting is 58 'love it's' and 1 troll.

I thought it was all about the cartoon they played during R30.
Light one up and it will all make sense. :smoke:

It's Ticketbastard's way of getting a piece of the scalping action. I took a look to see what fees they are charging the ticket holder for reselling. It's about $70 just in fees for floor seats in Chicago. All for handling a simple transaction that's automated.
Outrageous.

This is Chicago, which along with New York, LA, maybe Toronto, will probably be the most expensive tickets on the tour. They'll be close to selling out Chicago. Hence, the higher price.
Plan B would be to see them in Detroit or Columbus, where I don't think the tickets will be as much.

Beats me...I play guitar and don't really care about lyrics.

I really don't get how any of those adjectives describe HYFHYF is their most consistently bad, bland, boring album.
Was that the answer you were looking for?
I refer to it as 'Hold Your Nose'.
I agree with Geddy's Soul Patch.
Those adjectives, to describe Hold Your Fire? That leaves me...befuddled.
It was described earlier as elevator music...that's pretty much in line with my post. I've played it probably less than 10 times.

Like others have said, it's a security method used by the card companies. If your card hasn't been used in a year then all of a sudden there's activity on it, the card company will find that suspicious and check with you to make sure that you did make the purchase. It's very common now and I wouldn't worry about it being a scam.
Umm no. The link in my email was taking me to a non-credit card site.
-
Me thinks something fishy happened on the TM site. That's the only time I used the card in the last year.
-
I used this a few days ago to get tickets on TM. Today I got a spoofing email asking me to verify purchases on my Citi card. I haven't used my Citi card in a year until now. So be careful if you used the (Sh)iti presale.

So here I am. A 1500 year old log just sitting at the bottom of the river. Happy with my existance and just chilling for eternity. Then some weird looking dudes show up some day looking like fish. Before you know it, they stick these claw things into me and start yanking me to the surface. Ugh fresh air...nonono put me back. Then I get send to this place that chops me up into gazzilion thin strips. Before you know it, I'm on some noisy platform, people screaming at me and some dude pounding the hell out of me.
Life as a log is strange.

Drum Solo....then Al plays Hope...then Al and Ged do an unplugged version of different strings. It would give Neil a nice 5-6 minute break.

Well if that's his only problem, he should just take some Viagra with him on the tourIn his radio interview a couple days ago, Alex was asked about skipping Cleveland. He said they're 'looking into it' and 'some things didn't line up right', so he's vaguely hinting that they'll try to play it. But then again, Al has not been the most reliable source of information over the years. Perhaps he's hinting at a 2nd leg.
On the other hand, he said that he's had a harder time getting up for this tour. So yeah, it's probably the last one.
Correction: Perhaps he's hinting at a 3rd leg. ;)

Regardless of how the revenue is split between performers, venues, etc., you can bet one thing....no one is in this just to break even. Everyone in the food chain prospers.
When do you get the tickets from the presale?

I just got notice that my tickets were printed for the Chicago show. Per TM, for snail mail ticket delivery they say 10-14 days. I would think that they would mail it reasonably soon so people don't complain to their credit card companies about paying for something not received. If I don't get them in 3 weeks or so, I'll start pushing buttons with TM, but there's no hurry at this point.
I know I should have done email delivery, but I was in a 'rush' and not clicking clearly.
