  1. Agreed. Excellent performance. I hear that they really pushed the tempo on the T4E tour version of NS.

Compare to the SnA tour version and the T4E is much better. SnA is merely adequate, T4E kicks ass.

Those piezo pickups on the les paul really suck quite honestly for the beginning acoustic part. Sounds like a tinny $150 acoustic.

  2. Personally I wouldn't bring any kid younger than 8 or 9 unless they were REALLY interested in Rush. Last thing I would want to deal with is a whiney kid in a $200 seat bugging me to leave.

You may want to mention that this will be like taking an infant to front row at a monster truck rally. Sonically, that's how it would be for the infant. Seriously, there's a good chance that you'd give the kid nightmares for days.

    Get a babysitter.

  3. There was another one in town that's been closed for a while now that used to have some $3000 or $4000 PRS's way up high where you couldn't reach them. All the good stuff was up high!

That's because the teenywankers would be more likely to scratch and dent them than someone who was seriously interested in buying.

True GC Story: A few years ago, I was looking to get my daughter her first legit, high dollar electric. She wanted a Strat. I wasn't necessarily into that, but that was her call. Looking around, finally found a high end vintage series that I liked at GC. Went in there one afternoon to look at it, but the kid didn't want to let me look at it... kept steering me to the cheaper, foreign made versions. Finally I realized he either thought I wasn't serious or couldn't afford it.... so I had to be forceful and, say, "No. That one".... pointing to the $2K sunburst vintage model up top. The kid actually gave me the ojo and I gave it right back to him (I wanted to say, "Listen kid, I make more in a day than you make in a month" but I didn't. I behaved... for once.). I eventually got to look at the guitar and then walked away. Again, I found a better deal for the same guitar on line. Had the kid not been such a pretentious prick, I would have bought it from GC.

It's obvious that you were messing with his chosen toy that he played with while on break.

  4. I hate to break it to everyone. Even if the whiners on here don't attend this tour, I still think the boys will make some really decent coin.

The seat prices aren't that unreasonable. I think that people on here are expecting good seats for $50 or less like previous tours. Sorry, but your life long devotion doesn't buy you 20th row or less tickets anymore. Your expectations are too high...compromise or move on. Or exercise some patience, grasshoppa, and wait for the scalper prices to come down.

Like others have mentioned, if certain cities are a tough ticket to get, go to a reasonably close city that's not as challenging. Chicago is selling well, but Detroit not as much, which affects the ticket demand and pricing.

I've mentioned the story of missing out on seeing Stevie Ray Vaughn in concert 3 days before he died. Regretted it ever since. I'd hate to miss Rush one more time before they become no more, for whatever reason.

  5. In his latest post about being a very-part time endurance racer, Neil manages to squeeze in a humble brag about driving his $280,000 sports car.

    Whine away!

    :laughing guy:

Good thing he had a full crew with him for his epic casual drive

So. This is what the idle rich do. Well, when they're not whining about touring.

From a guy that writes a song like the Larger Bowl, lol!

So which is worse...the guy that writes a song like the Larger Bowl, or the obedient fans that buy the albums and concerts with said song?

  6. I think it's very funny that Feedback has forty votes.

It probably took a whole 2 days for them to record and produce this. If they sold 500 albums, they probably made money. My point is that they did this for the hell of it and not as a serious album. It's sort of like wondering why people don't like 'I think I'm Going Bald'.

  7. Caress the Eel, Roll the Boner and Hold Your Nose.

I actually use Feedback to warmup on some simple songs on guitar.

 If you are Spaghetti, post one of your famous cards!

ok seriously....who the F is Spaghetti?

I'm more of a pizza guy.

He is a member that got banned a few months ago. Apparently, you reminded LedRush of him.

Must have been the first grade humor and the complete lack of cleverness.

Oh a superiority complex. That's so unRush.

  8. I'd rather listen to Test for Echo over Hold Your Nose. At least T4E has some beefy guitar.

Hold Your Nose sounds like mall music.

    Hey Spaghetti! How've you been?

That's too mild for Spaghetti.

He doesn't want to get banned, so he's the PG-rated version.

    If that's the case...

    Welcome back, Spaghetti!! :hi:

    Who the F is Spaghetti?

  9. Ugh the Synth period.

    1. Power Windows - good songs despite the heavy synths.

    2. Presto - has a few redeaming songs but the production is horribly tinny.

    3. Hold Your Fire - or as I refer to it as 'hold your nose'. I hate this album. It has no real bite to any songs. All the songs sound like overproduced mush. I actually put this on the other day to remind myself why I hated it. I played about 45 seconds of each song, then the next song was just as boring, and on and on. As a musician, there's no song with any typical Rush 'surprises'.

  10. My vote is for Signals.

    1. My first Rush concert was the Signals tour

    2. Analog Kid is the strongest track on either album

    3. Grace Under Pressure's songs all kind of sound alike

Wait, is it too late to change my vote? I forgot how cheesy Countdown was.

  11. I had free tickets to Kansas playing in my town of 50,000 Enid Oklahoma. I was at a cook out having a good time, never made to the show yet I feel no great loss.

I actually warmed up to Kansas back in the day before I found Rush, so I had fond memories of their 70s material. It was humorous to make fun of the old people crowd staggering in...my wife and I wondered if they thought Tony Bennett was playing. But they filled a 3000 seat auditorium, seats were cheap, show was good so it was a good night.

  12. Suffice it to say, the music industry is so depressed that newer bands have the lifespan of goldfish. There simply is no money in recording new material unless it's radio play trash. Outside of pop tarts, you'll start to see a steep falloff in arena level shows. Personally I like finding new artists and then follow them as they progress. Since there's no patience from labels anymore, it's nearly impossible for new bands to survive.

If Rush came out now, they wouldn't make it past their 2nd album.
