    Imagine Bravado recorded on MP.

Given Geddy's voice at that time, we may perceive that song different. Put it on Counterparts and I think it would be rockin'!

I think with TCE, if it were recorded the way it was played on the Signals tour, it would be much more enjoyable.

Cairo, Egypt, to central Missouri: 6440 miles. I was born while my parents were working overseas. A more fair/telling measure might be: I live about 50 miles from the house I grew up in (ages 2-18), and where my parents still live.

I forget: are you native to a college town?

My ear and technical musical knowledge isn't as good as yours so I don't really notice the tempo changes in ESL. I'll just say that I don't think they had lots and lots of MP live shows to choose from for the ESL album. My guess is that all 3 Toronto shows and the Montreal show were recorded multi-track. The only other MP show recording we have confirmation on is the Edmonton show June 25th, and I don't know if that's a multitrack recording or just a board tape. Having listened to a fair bit of live recordings from MP tour and editing compilations using various performances stitched together and then trying to sync that to video, I found Rush's tempos very consistent.

Now the Signals tour... whoa, that's a different story

I was bummed we didn't get the whole Edmonton show.

  4. Compared to the studio recordings, no. The fast and loose they would play though was generally consistent. The known recordings from Signals were all that energetic (I suspect this was done to get all the material played that they wanted to in 2 hours or less).

If one wanted to look for clues to how coke was affecting their performances, I would start listening to the vocals first. Coke can wreak havoc on the pipes.

Assuming they didn't turn his guitar off, he actually learned the whole song, too. Jambi is a f***ing killer track

I think he learned at least some of it.

This is also my birthday and would have been a SWEET concert to see. I am not a big Tool fan, but your assessment of Jambi is correct. Seeing Alex play this song would have been a great concert moment.

I'm as happy as the next Missourian when the Chiefs win, but the officials have been directed to call that penalty more often this year, so what're they supposed to do? This is on Toney -- he can't see the effin ball from where he's standing? If I were Veach, the Chiefs' GM, I'd have cut that guy or traded him to the Panthers by 8:01 this morning.

Does every Missourian like a Chiefs win?

Yeah, when I was in the military, one guy was always volunteering to be part of a crew finishing a building involving glue. Later I found him in the toilet with his wrists slashed. We managed to save him. Needless to say, he got discharged. Btw, how can anybody find 'Friends' funny? Total crap.

I am sorry that Matthew Perry is gone, but Married With Children trumps all for '90s sitcoms.

    Next KC Game

Is Taylor Swift going to the New York Jets game?

Via Michael McCarthy of FrontOfficeSports.com, the pop icon Taylor Swift plans to attend Sunday night's game between the Chiefs and the jets at MetLife Stadium. Swift is now dating (or whatever they call it)
    Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

    SELL OUT MOST LIKELY>

Who cares what is going on with those 2?
