  1. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Feb 9 2012, 05:20 PM) Yes has made itself more like "nope". I saw them once per decade since eighties, and I think I'm about done. They haven't done a good album since the seventies, either.
  2. Oh... now I know why they don't get along. That sucks. Squire 's tore up, that's for sure. Last interview of squire I saw look like he was hungover and high on coke. Couldn't stop sniffling or wiping his nose. I could be wrong but I can usually tell. Thanks for bringing me up to speed. Their days can't be far from over. Who knows, though...
  3. Here's "War Pigs" by Banned From Earth. They are closing my band's cd release party mar 24th. War Pigs in Detroit, MI
  4. Have you guys seen this one yet?? I guess Sharon Twittered that she has no control over hiring and firing in Sabbath... Sharon's Twitter Excuse on BM.net So, who's holding the moneybags then?? A lot of finger pointing going on, but not one person will admit they did Bill Ward wrong. Sabbath sucks. The Sabbath Tribute "BANNED FROM EARTH" outta my home town sounds better anyway. They sound like the 1978 Sabbath we'll never see again in its original form. Sad...
  5. DT said they'll be at the Grammy's for sure! I'm definitely watching Sunday if at all possible...
  6. QUOTE (treeduck @ Feb 8 2012, 05:18 PM) QUOTE (J0N @ Feb 8 2012, 12:54 PM) https://www.facebook.com/pages/1000000-Blac...es-to-Bill-Ward It's been deleted but I just read it on Blabbermouth. Seems like it's Sharon at work again. The way this is going it's going to end up as an Ozzy Osbourne tour... Ducky,. Their net worth is est at $90MUSD and they're holding moneybags over their original drummer's head like children. This is some f*cked up shit. That's an increase of more than an addition to the osbourne fortune. I say split it four ways and retire happy kniwing ur fans got to see the unlikely reunion of black sabbath over 40 yrs since its Inception. U got no friggen clue how bad I wanna jam bill's stick bag up that raggedy ole gold diggin...
  7. QUOTE (Tick @ Feb 8 2012, 05:08 PM) QUOTE (Enemy Within 77 @ Feb 6 2012, 02:10 AM) Like I said in a previous post, they should've ended on a high note and retired after Ronnie died. They're just a f***ing joke at this point. Why? Who cares? That's what musicians do, they play music. They should never retire for stupid reasons like going out on a high note. If they still want to play they should keep playing. I appreciate that tick! If they wanna still play fine, but stiffing your fellow bandmate because $40million usd aint enough, their hearts are no longer united, si piss on every fukking one of whoever's holding the moneybags. It makes me sick.... (sharon)
  8. QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 7 2012, 03:35 PM) QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Feb 6 2012, 12:05 PM) QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 5 2012, 11:52 AM) Vinny is a better drummer at this point , but i totally understand Bills problem I do too, MD. It is similar to when I paid my dues as a young musician, hauling my shit onstage on wednesday nights when no one was there to see my band, with a promise that "if you play these weekday gigs for us, we will reward you with some Friday and Saturday nights when the club is packed". I Never , Ever want to go back to that. You can say that again! What a young fool I was... I KNEW you'd been thru that, too, MD. Did that more than once... And then what about this one: Ever show up on one of those weeknight gigs where the guy at the club never heard of your band when you start loading in, so they add a FIFTH band and you end up either playing for 20 minutes at 8pm when the bartenders aren't even there to see you or you go on at 1:30am and have to get up for work at 6am the next day???
  9. You can count me out, too. I said my peace on one of the 50 facebook pages I signed today about how there's only one BW and all. Bill's son even piped up on blabbermouth over this (fb really but...) And I made sure to tell $haron to fuckoff and I would never buy another sabbath anything ever again. (sorry, bill) I'm done with that bitch. It's not an ozzy tour, it's a black sabbath reunion...
  10. Damnitt you rotten vh lovin fukstix!! Now I got the itch. Think I'll hit. Best buy on the way to work. Never did like the sammy era although his solo shit and montrose was cool back in the day...
  11. QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 7 2012, 01:28 PM) QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Feb 7 2012, 12:32 PM) QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 7 2012, 12:19 PM) Skip Tattoo and this album kicks ass ! If you don't like it then you were Never a old school VH fan and prob like Sammy better. I really don't see how a Roth-era fan wouldn't dig this record. Truly. Someone will find something to bitch about Heard some dj's talking about new album as if it's lacking any good hooks. Wtf do they know? Vh fans seem to be digging it and that's who counts really, at the end of the day...
  12. Blabbermouth just posted an audio link to 3 songs from their live secret show: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermo...wsitemID=169320 have at it, VH fans!
  13. QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 5 2012, 11:52 AM) Vinny is a better drummer at this point , but i totally understand Bills problem I do too, MD. It is similar to when I paid my dues as a young musician, hauling my shit onstage on wednesday nights when no one was there to see my band, with a promise that "if you play these weekday gigs for us, we will reward you with some Friday and Saturday nights when the club is packed". I can't tell you how many times we believed the promoters and booking agents only to be screwed time and time again, by them not reciprocating. I'm sure some of you trf musicians have played this game. Bill got tired of doing favors in hopes of a promised return for his patience and hard work, only to get dicked out of his fair share of proceeds... It's Bill f***ing Ward, people! WTF?? It's not like some no name dude is holding out for $40M! Cmon...
  14. I really dig Vinnie's style, but Sabbath (3/4) has turned into a pack of near-dead greedy pigs who are just out to maximize their bank accounts at any price, including screwing the fans out of what could have possibly been a cool tour, providing Tony and Bill's health allowed it. But, I can't blame Bill for holding out for a fair cut. It's not like HE's the greedy one. In this business, like many, if you just take what they give you they will walk all over you, and Bill (even though he's not what he once was) deserves the respect and dignity they want to cheat him out of. Here's a band, one of the few legends in rock and metal, that has all members still sucking air, and the fans have to suffer because some of them don't want to share the pie equally. I'd doubt we will ever see another Sabbath reunion with all four original members, and I'm going to support Bill and NOT support the old-bags for this album or tour... $40 Million Dollars isn't enough for one album/tour? Kiss it, $haron! edit: typo
  15. QUOTE (Rick N. Backer @ Feb 3 2012, 05:35 PM) QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Feb 3 2012, 05:44 PM)QUOTE (treeduck @ Feb 3 2012, 04:21 PM) QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Feb 3 2012, 04:14 PM) QUOTE (treeduck @ Feb 3 2012, 02:57 PM) It's falling apart already... I doubt they get Vinnie Appice after what Ozzy said about him in the 80s... And when Ozzy quits, which will be pretty soon, there'll be no Dio this time, and even Glenn Hughes is unavailable... What did ozzy say about him in the eighties??? Sorry for the triple post, but maybe Portannoy would do it? Carmine Appice, Vinnie's older and better playing brother? Tommy Aldridge? Simon Kirk? Me and Metaldad?? When Bill left after the H&H album Ozzy described Sabbath as Geezer and the Three Wops... Ok td, 10% of 160mil usd is $16 million bucks. Do you think vinnie woukd be too proud to forgive a 30 year old ethnic slur based on those figures? For that kinda money.I'd give sharon a big wet kiss and jump on old uncle ozzys lap for christ sakes! I'm pretty sure Vinnie subbed for Bill during the last reunion from 97-06. The bigger problem is that they sold this as "the original 4" reuniting for the last go round. What's funny is that Ozzy sued Tony claiming that the original members should each share the name (and presumably the money to be made from it) equally, despite the fact that Geezer, Bill and Ozzy had sold their shares to Tony. It would be strange if its Ozzy's camp that is now trying to get Bill to take less. It's more than strange. It's the truth! Thats precisely what happened. Bill was the one that had to tell ozzy he was unfit for the band in 1978, from what i read. Truth is stranger than fiction, after all...

Maybe the drummer position isn't getting the zeros that Ozzy is getting. I doubt Vinnie gets a better contract than Ward... Because. Bill thought they would pay him an equal share which is $40mil, so he held out like peter criss did for kiss. Being that vinnie was not an original member, he would not have his feelings hurt as much by a smaller than equal share than someone who was a founding member.

  19. QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 3 2012, 02:52 PM) QUOTE (adace1 @ Feb 3 2012, 02:45 PM) ^They got it wrong. That's not what Bill said. He said he'd participate if they gave him a better contract. They have no one to blame but themselves for him not participating. They got it right. Bill said no to the contract , so he chose Not to participate Knew $haron would be done with him after that public statement... Metaldad and myself could do it, but I bet Vinnie got the call... Any word on who yet??
  20. QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 3 2012, 11:13 AM) QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Feb 3 2012, 10:53 AM) QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 3 2012, 10:33 AM) I wish he would just join Fates Warning. He would get their lazy ass's in the studio and on the road. That would be cool, but would the band dig Portnoy's boisterous style after being used to the 5-pc drumset economics their drummer utilized? I, myself, think it would work. It would also bring visibility to FW for a change. I think it would work. He is very good friends with them and has played with them before. The drumming on the first few FW albums is progressive and right up his ally. The last few albums from FW are very good/ great but much more Relaxed drumming. He can give that band a kick in their lazy ass. I just don't know if they would make enough money for him. That was another big problem he had with A7x , so says their guitar player You aint gonna believe this, Metaldad!! haha ATTN TRF: METALDAD IS A PSYCHIC! http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermo...wsitemID=169193

  22. QUOTE (metaldad @ Feb 3 2012, 10:25 AM) Every tour Bill has done since they first got back together, they have had Vinny in the wings because Bill Can't make it thru a tour without having heart problems. My guess is they want Bill to pay the cost of having Vinny on the road , atleast that is one of the reasons. You are dealing with $haron after all. Darn valid point, Metaldad! After Bill making that public statement I'll bet $haron will nip it in the bud and wash her hands of him once and for all. Vinnie is sittin' pretty right now. They stand to make 160 million just for the band members, so there's definitely some cash in there for him somewhere. Even if he scraped $10M off the top, the rest of the band would be able to split the remaining $150M, or $50M each. That's just mad money...
