  1. QUOTE (Pags @ Mar 10 2008, 05:33 PM) Has someone mentioned that this is an anti-skynard site or something? Well, back when the site was first launched, the full title was "The Rush and F*ck Lynyrd Skynyrd Forum". But due to excessive pressure from Skynyrd fan groups, the admins were forced to reduce the title to just "The Rush Forum". Interesting story, really.
  2. QUOTE (rushfr:CP @ Mar 7 2008, 02:45 PM) chris cornell, sound garden, RATM. He is on the R30 bonus disk. Chris Cornell was in Soundgarden and Audioslave. The other members of Audioslave were from RATM, not Cornell.
  3. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Mar 6 2008, 05:07 PM) This is quickly turning into the: think-of-the-obscurest-shit-possible-that-Uncle-Godeater-never-heard-of-before-so-he-can't-really-play game. Kaddisfly aren't obscure... go download Set Sail the Prairie and enjoy.
  4. QUOTE (TheRocinanteKid @ Mar 6 2008, 04:45 PM) QUOTE (Mustard Death @ Mar 6 2008, 08:42 PM) So this is definitely just gonna end up circulating the same group of prog and classic rock groups after the first 50 or so posts.... I dunno... I could reel Prog bands all day. Van Der Graaf Generator or Psychotic Waltz? Oh yeah, so could I... it's just that the majority of posters here are going to keep choosing Led Zeppelin and Dream Theater over and over. UNLESS... we do a little dirty work... Psychotic Waltz or Kaddisfly?
  5. QUOTE (Rushian King @ Mar 6 2008, 02:13 AM) Sebastian Bach (is he still famous?), the Metallica guy that died in the 80s, Kim Thayil(sp?) of Soundgarden, some older rapper/producer-- WTF was his name?...... How do you know Sebastian Bach's name, but not Cliff Burton's?

  7. QUOTE (TheRocinanteKid @ Mar 5 2008, 04:03 PM) QUOTE (Mustard Death @ Mar 5 2008, 07:10 PM) Hayley Williams of Paramore digs 'em. Are you sure its her and not members of her band??? Some dude posted a topic here awhile back with an interview of her talking about liking Snakes and Arrows... I'll try and find it. She's really the only cool member of the band anyway.
  8. Hayley Williams of Paramore digs 'em.
  9. QUOTE (Choose/the/light @ Mar 3 2008, 09:27 PM) i never actually saw the origonal Somebody needs to make a Blockbuster run.
  10. QUOTE (gleamingalloyaircar81 @ Mar 1 2008, 10:37 PM) QUOTE (Mustard Death @ Mar 1 2008, 12:35 AM) And I thought Will Ferrell was running out of ideas with Semi-Pro... Will Ferrel is the man!!! He's funny, but is kinda taking the Ben Stiller route and playing a less funny version of the same character every time he's in a movie. Where's my Anchorman??
  11. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Mar 1 2008, 01:55 AM) I may have to wait until this is on TNT to watch it...and I'm bed ridden...and I can't find the remote...and I have insomnia... And Shaft has a gun to your head.
  12. And I thought Will Ferrell was running out of ideas with Semi-Pro...
  13. I still haven't seen Lion, but the books were favourites of mine as a kid... do the movies capture the magic the novels have? If they do, I might just re-read the series and then start renting the films.
  14. QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ Feb 25 2008, 10:06 AM) QUOTE (Mustard Death @ Feb 25 2008, 03:52 AM) I thought it was alright, better than I was expecting. I thought the recreation of the election race was way cooler than the actual film though... And oh yeah, Rachel Weisz is awesome. My wife and I saw it for Valentine's night, aww shucks, gee whiz etc.... Much better than I expected. Kevin Kline was fantastic! Yeah, Valentines is when I saw it too Kevin Kline, Weisz and whoever played the main characters best friend (Derek Luke?) were my favourites, and what made the movie a little more than just run of the mill. Abigail Breslin was pretty cool, too.

  16. So Diary of the Dead came out yesterday (or the day before, can't remember which)... and I was wondering if any of you had seen it yet, and what did you think? I'll admit, it doesn't really look that good, but hey... I love the Dead series, so I'm gonna watch it and hope for the best. Anyway, unfortunately right now the only theater showing it in my area is in downtown Atlanta, which is pretty far away... so I'm not sure if I'll be able to journey on down there, or hope for a broader theater release in the future. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3b/DiaryofDeadPoster2.jpg P.S. Please refrain from posting spoilers, but if you really want to, use Jack Aubrey's magic spoiler hiding technique.
  17. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jan 27 2008, 03:43 PM) So far it seems everyone here who's seen it loves it. I saw it, thought it was a boring typical teen movie. Hated it. Ok, not really, I haven't seen it
  18. Seeing as how I've never had any respect for Bret Michaels, or women that throw themselves at rockstars, I think this show is hilarious And it's also not a bad showcase of his has-been status.

  21. QUOTE (The Owl @ Feb 21 2008, 01:48 PM) QUOTE (Mustard Death @ Feb 21 2008, 11:40 AM) "Summer 2009, get ready to... GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL, DO NOT COLLECT $200!!" Staring Jack Nicholson as the Monopoly Guy. And they can do a crossover, whoever plays the battleship in Battleship can play the battleship in Monopoly. Did I say battleship too much?
