Well. for Vapour Trails I was 6th row floor in front of Geddy. My new best, Tonight I will be Floor First Row in front of Geddy! I'm bouncing off the walls. I also snagged these for face value by some amazing stroke of luck.

How come you are not going anymore? Oh, I'm going. I have the greatest wife on the planet that hooked us up with even better tickets. :D

Now I'm curious, do they change the tour shirts sold at the shows to say Red Deer instead of Calgary?? I'm going to guess not due to the fact thay they have already spent the money on design, printing on many shirts, and even though they ship merch directly to the venue to replenish supples those shirts were likely printed and shipping a long time ago. I guess time will tell. Also, does anyone know if the tour shirts they've been selling show 2012/2012 dates or just 2013 dates???

I think that song fits perfectly, it would be a crime to take it out of the set.

Not quite sold out I see. There is still tickets availible in the upper deck back corners of the arena. I really hope the locals step up and take advantage of a once in a lifetime chance to see rock legends playing in there backyard, and the money goes to a good cause to boot. At this point it seems like any A & B prediction is a total crap shoot.

Who's smart enough to know if this show will be setlist A or B?

Keep in mind, everyone who bought tickets to Calgary got a presale password for Red Deer, and it was while quantities last. So if Rush sold say 11,000-12,000 tickets and 2/3 of those people are willing to drive 80-90 mins it's entirely possible that there will be no tickets by the time the gig goes to public sale on Monday. I could also be way off, but that's my guess. They haven't been there in 6 years so there is certainly demand.

Got a presale pw from music today. Went on right at 12, best pair row 13 floor which is oddly enough the exact same thing I had for calagry so I'm happy. Too bad I didn't manage to get a little closer.

You never know what you might regret missing somedays.11 years ago I had I got to see metal legends Pantera play here, and it was the only time they ever played this city. There was actually 8 of us that went together. It was a awesome show. As you probably know since guitarist Dimebag Darrell since died. I can assure you the people I know who had other plans that weekend to go camping, etc are still kicking themselves for the missed oppritunity and always will. Those guys really were pretty young, but you never know when your last chance might be.

I hope this is still the standard Clockwork Angels gig and not some modified version of it.

This is a very small arena. Only about 7100 seats for a concert. Really a basic hockey rink that sees the occasional concert, but never Rush. Elton John played there last year and that would be hands down the biggest name to ever play there. I had row 13 floors for Calgary, so I hope I can get something relatively close on the floor again, or even close on lower level.

Well at least the drive is a little shorter from Edmonton. How does this work for those of us who bought thier tickets from music today?

I did see in an article that the Selena Gomez concert was moved to Lethbridge, maybe that's where rush will go. That arena in Lethbridge is about 1/3 the size of saddledome. They wouldn't do that.

I hope not. Edmonton is over 3 hours away from Calgary. Im not from either area, I'm from Eastern Saskatchewan and to add on an additional 6 hours of driving would suck. My hopes is that they can change the venue to somewhere else in Calgary, perhaps the football stadium. Hey, I would be all over an outdoor concert if that was their decision.

Ok. So it's basically certain that the Rush show won't go off as planned. They just cancelled Selena Gomez at the venue for Aug 16th. Obviously the Rush show on Jul 24 cannot go ahead. Show is not cancelled officially, but TM no longer lets you purchase tickets to it. I can only hope this is because they are still looking into a possible venue change. Please be Edmonton, Please be Edmonton!!!

As of today if you look on ticketmaster you can no longer attempt to purchase tickets for this event. I called TM and they said that in this scenerio 9/10 times this mean the event is going to be cancelled. And this was someone in the USA who clearly had no idea that this venue was filled with water 2 weeks ago.:(

This was a very memorable amazing show for many reasons. It was my first rush show. It was their first show in Edmonton in like 13 years. I had 6 row floors in front of Geddy. I never really thought I would ever get the chance to see them after that wait. The setlist was a great mix. TS and then DEW got the crowd into it right off the bat. If I would have know what I missed if I didn't go it would bother me forever.

Do you think they would decide to do a venue change outside to the still ok football stadium? It gets a little complicated because people's tickets are for specific sections and rows but I can see that band/management willing to make an effort to accomdate fans who's city including it's arena has been ravaged by flooding.

Arena currently flooded up to row 14 of the lower bowl according to this report. Is this venue going to be ready for a major event in a month????? Maybe they move the show to Edmonton if not instead of cancelling
