Really now? I say that's either POW or HYF....just IMO

i like Counterparts up to Between Sun and Moon...Then nothing else happens for me besides Leave that Thing Alone.

  2. Out of all their albums.....Hold your Fire has been the most rewarding to me over time. not kidding. Something about the record finally gelled. I totally adore, Second Nature, Mission, Time Stands Still prime Mover. It shocked ME. Cause I used to loath this album.

  3. 1. I'm not big on 70's Rush....get's a little tiresome and heavy handed.

    2. I love Roll the Bones as an album. I love the song as well.

    3. I feel Counterparts would have made a better EP after Between Sun and Moon. It loses me. Leave that Thing Alone is great though.

    4. I hardly ever listen to side 1 of Hemispheres. Drags in a BIG way. I start right on Circumstances

    5. Don't know how unpopular this is but.....Marathon is one of their best songs...ever.

    6. I don't care if Neil wants to bash Religion. I would not care if he were to praise Jesus on high. Music should be for expression. I'll still follow this band.

    7. i'm glad Ged stopped the shrieking. my voice hurts just listening to it.....it's cool...but god.

  8. I piced they last 3. Even though the sound quality is not the best I do enjoy and connect with those last 3 more. I could never get into the debut or Fly by night....just such a hard listen for me. Although, COS is fuckng great 1022.gif

    So last 3

    Mick

  9. It is my main problem with the album, and a path they've been following for a bit. It's why I'm not having the ear-gasims most people are. I connect fully connect to this record for the at times unbearable wall that hits me. Yes i've tried fiddling. does not help.

    4.  The Anarchist
    3. Halo Effect
    2. The Wreckers
    1. The Garden wink.gif

    Mick

    Halo Effect? Interesting...

Yea....I know it's not of the more popular songs but it just clicked with me. wink.gif

    Mick

  11. In all honesty I'm not thrilled with it. up to my 8th listen. I don't really like theproduction.....that's my problem. There's a few things i enjoy though. The Halo Effect, The Garden, The Anarchist. The wreckers. Was never wild about the first 2 songs. The production is my problem. Crapola.... Just my opinion. Glad everyone's raving though. smile.gif

  12. Great to see Kate Bush Fans

    1. While I enjoy Radiohead. I don't Feel they deserve their rep.

    2. I was never impressed by the Police/Sting

    3. I enjoy Phil Collins led Genesis more then Gabriel led. I said it. lol. However Peter's better solo.

    4. Pet Sounds blows. First album I ever nodded off to.

    5. The Beatles are NOT the best band ever.

That's all I can think of for now biggrin.gif

    Mick

  13. I liked S&A but felt it should have been Chopped down. Tracks like Good News First, Malnar, We Hold on, Bravest face I really don't enjoy. Faithless I could take or leave. The rest of it is a pretty damn good record wink.gif

    Mick

  14. Hi there. I'm new Here. Been lurking a while. My name is Mick. Rush was the first band I was ever interested. Much to the sadness of my mother. lol.

Anyway, I'd say I much prefer 80's Rush. Not that the 70's didn't have amazing stuff. I just found it to be a little to, um....dungeons and dragon-y at times. Don't worry I feel the same way about Peter Gabriel Genesis...which I also still love

But when they hit with Permanent Waves. It was like now we're gettin' somewhere. I remember the first time my young ears heart Spirit of Radio.....absolutely Thrilling. But I LOVE that whole decade. 2.gif
