  1. Wow...I was watching, but left before the end. I did see South Carolina come back against Stanford, So...this opens the door for South Carolina to win both the men's and women's championships! You hear that, Aik? :dweez: Women definitely have a decent % chance of winning it all with UCONN out.
  2. Congrats, Goose. Hope your boys win it all, especially if they play UNCarolina.
  3. I'd love to travel back in time and punch the guy who thought it was a good idea to put pickles on a hamburger or sandwich.
  4. Love tomatoes. Hate heartburn.
  5. IF South Carolina can miraculously win the tournament, then the defending champions in the 3 major men's sports would be from the state of South Carolina: Coastal Carolina: baseball Clemson: football South Carolina: basketball Big dreams
  6. So happy for you, Aik! I missed the game...stuck in urgent care. Tending to bloodied fingers. Go Gamecocks! Thanks.
  7. Carolina retakes the lead against Florida, in the 2nd half, but we're in a little bit of foul trouble.
  8. Hopefully another feathered mascot will be joining the ducks in the Final Four! We'll know shortly.
  9. BTW, Greenville, SC is a happening place. I've been working there many years, now, but I didn't know much about the downtown scene. All the major pubs and restaurants sit next to the Reedy River falls, which has a cool park and suspension bridge for great views.
  10. USC! USC! USC! Thank you Nikki Haley for having the ovaries to take down that confounded flag so Greenville could host, and thank you Frank Martin for coming to South Carolina and turning this program around! My brother and I went on a 72 hour uber marathon in Greenville and made a little $ while soaking up the energy from all the fans that were in town for the tournament. The fanfare was incredible. Rumor has it that because of the turnout AND the bathroom bill in North Carolina that Greensboro may never get to host again. Oh yeah, our women's hoops team rocks, too!
  11. My review of Styx from the Augusta, GA show on Wednesday, March 01, 2017. Styx flat out rocked the house last night. The sound was incredibly clean, surpassed only by Rush, in my opinion. The band were energetic, often times running up steps to a "second floor" and playing "on top of" the drum kit. The keyboardist stole the show, even treating the crowd to a spectacular classical music piece that he had written. His keyboards were on a pole that he could spin around. He also played the keys behind his back at times. When not playing, he would be dancing on the keyboard frame. The drummer was spectacular, full of energy, and continuously executed fill after fill. The kit consisted of double bass drums, many cymbals, and a huge type of Tom Tom drum on the extreme right hand side of the drummer that I've never seen before, or never noticed on a kit. He used the jazz drumming techniques with his left hand a lot. The band interacted a lot with the crowd, which was on its feet going nuts as it's supposed to
  12. Joe Bonamassa, this Saturday, Savannah Civic Center, Savannah, GA. Styx, March 1st, Bell Auditorium, Augusta, GA IRON MAIDEN: June 9, Charlotte, NC, corporate named amphitheater.
  13. Nice to read an honest review from someone like myself who doesn't like today's country music.
  14. I saw a symphony orchestra, last night, live, for the first time ever, here in Aiken. They did Brahms in the first set and a pianist, named Joyce Yang, from NYC, did Rachmaninoff in the second set. She was awesome. Definitely will attend again in the future.

  19. ?NIN? How are you overrated when you singlehandedly bring an underground genre to the mainstream?
  20. Retired from announcing after calling the play-by-play for the Georgia vs Kentucky basketball game, last night. A true legend and he has been there my whole life. I remember watching "The NFL Today" on my little black and white TV in my bedroom on Sundays as a youngster. I'll miss him.
