I feel any coming arguing about "which album is better" regarding the last two is kinda redundant.
For a band who released one classic after another for ages, can we all just agree...two albums of this majesty one after the other is cause for celebration
I also don't get how anyone could compare them on day 1. Let the album settle before you call it the greatest thing since ___

And then it hit me.

I've learned some magic through the years

f**k man, we're out of drugs

It's way too early to tell atm, but the only tracks that didn't stand out much to me were the first two bonus tracks. Lodger was pretty interesting

First playthrough and there isn't a weak track on the album. The title track is a beast.

Half a century has come and gone and Judas Priest is still badass

I'm aware The Simpsons is good again. When did that happen? I bailed around season eight.
They still vastly pale in comparison to be Season 8 but the writers have been trying to write more experimental and emotional episodes lately. Stuff that only really works this late in the game. The Treehouse of Horror from season 34 was good because they did an Anime parody (with the original anime animators) and a Westworld parody that made reference to popular classic Simpsons jokes and memes.

I want to watch The Simpsons, but Hulu only has season 35. GTFOH.
Oddly the last year or two of Zombie Simpsons has some pretty good ones. They're still BTFO by the golden era

I haven't, any recs?
I'd argue Addicted! or Epicloud.
Lightwork is a bit more somber but has a chill vacation vibe in places.

I shouldn’t listen to sad music when I’m sad, but I can’t help that I’ve been listening to a lot of Audioslave and AiC.
Ever listen to peak happy pop Devin Townsend?

Seeing Primus in '21 really woke me up to Les Claypool. I liked some of his stuff before but now that I've poured over his discography, the man really has a great catalog. Oddly some of his biggest misfires are with his main band, Primus.

I've added a bit of a twist to my "new album every day" thing I did last year. One of the major problems I ran into last year was a lack of time to truly digest a record. The real stand-outs were ones I liked immediately.
I swapped to "one album a week, but I have to listen to it 7 times". Albums I otherwise would have written off after a single listen are now growing on me. I'll even stick to it through bad albums to really make sure I hate them.
I'm hoping to make it to near 100 albums still. I've been listening to a lot despite the 7X rule.

Bruce Dickinson - Tyranny of Souls
Bruce Dickinson - The Mandrake Project
KK's Priest - Sermons of the Sinner (This wasn't as bad as I expected based on the original thread)
Paradise Lost - The Plague Within
Paradise Lost - Medusa (A really solid follow-up)
Burning Witches - The Dark Tower
Blue Öyster Cult - Mirrors (Never heard this one, I liked it)

I was at Giant's Stadium in 1980 to see The Who's farewell tour.
My dad caught that tour in Syracuse. Then I got to see them 35+ years later on their 17th post-retirement tour

I think I paid $40-ish bucks to see Mastodon and Primus at the Greek in LA in 2018. My seat was pretty far back, but worth it.
That's a good price for both of them. I think I had to pay $90 to see Primus at Massey Hall and there was no Mastodon opening.

3:13: KK's Priest/L.A. Guns/Burning Witches - Buffalo Riverworks, Buffalo, NY
-
I've seen several of Devin Townsend's band mates in other bands, but never with Devin.
-
I've seen all the members of The Aristocrats live, but never all at the same time.
-
If I see KK, then I've seen the whole Painkiller lineup live.
-
Now would I have fun paying $50 to see KK's Priest? They're take on the Judas songs are cool. But their originals are okay/10
