  1. When I first started buying albums, around the mid 80s, I tended not to start with albums generally recognised as among a band's best, but rather their recent releases; so I had Perfect Strangers before Machine Head, Bark at the Moon before Blizzard, Love at First Sting before Blackout, Lick it Up before Destroyer .....you get the idea. Thunder & Lightning was therefore my first Lizzy album, is a memory of a moment in time (as are many albums we buy) and will always be a special album for me.
  2. A little off-topic, but I have an 84 Maiden shirt that I can just about get into. Oddly, I have an 84 Dio top, same design, which is too small. Should really give them to a friend's daughter but kids as they are, she will wear for 6 months and bin them, which I cant bear to contemplate.
  3. I think we generally got set list c at Glasgow last night, but with Limelight included from list b. A truly awesome show, with spot on sound, crowd seemed involved and no complaints from me about the set list. Got to admit to being bit under-whelmed when listening to the CA album but after the way those songs were presented last night, now listening with a totally different perspective.
  4. Following advice from the forum last year I hand delivered my 2112 album cover to Newcastle Arena in the UK, addressed to the Rush Tour Manager and including a brief polite request letter to the band and a self-addressed stamped envelope. I was advised by arena staff that they would pass on to band, but couldn't give any assurances to what would happen after that. Received album back in post a week later, signed by the band It seems that if venue pass items on to band, they will be signed. A few people posted on here last year about not receiving anything back from Birmingham NEC, but that seems to be down to the venue rather than the band. Good Luck
  5. sorry mate, as a first time poster i didnt want to chance boring everyone with all the details and my posting was not factually correct. i actually collected signed album from post office yesterday after postie was unable to deliver last tuesday. i was very impressed with how promptly arena staff placed package in post to me and half expected it to lie around an office for a few weeks first. hope thats ok and sorry if i confused things.
