My daughter started Jane Eyre and asked me to read it with her, so that’s jumped to the top.  The bad news is that she loves it and it seems Wuthering Heights will be on the table.  Then I’ll be forced to read Jane Austin books for months.  Of course, there are worse fates than reading the greatest female novelist in history,  but I do have a backlog I’m trying to thin out.

There are worse authors to read,  I do enjoy Austen,  Pride and Prejudice is most people's favorites but I am partial to Persuasion which is one of her lesser known novels.

Avs beat Vancouver 3-1 in a real close game.  It's helping to be back home after that bad road trip.  MacKinnon kept his point streak at home going,  can't believe he didn't miss any games after getting his nose broken in the game against the Bolts last weekend.  He's a tough customer.

There have been several teams that have had that problem,  the Avs went on a road trip after the All Star game and only managed to win 2 games.  Doing better now they have had a couple of home games.

That's where I came in to the series, loved Baker.  At the time the episodes were being played on PBS and at pledge time they had Dr. Who marathons.  I didn't care for the guys who came after so I didn't come back until BBC America brought it back.  Enjoyed Eccleston and Tennant.  Haven't really taken to any of the new ones but have been watching more Star Wars stuff lately.

Not the only team who has had a rough start after the All Star game.  Avs have lost 3 in a row, yesterday's game was awful.  Jets on the down turn as well
