I'm sure Nick R. realizes this could be their last studio record. Pull out all the stops Nick!

If they haven't had a masterpiece record yet, this would definitely be the time. Or maybe surprise us all with a double-album.

  2. Let me give out a longer list of songs. There's plenty of good driving songs.

First of all, Spirit Of Radio is a fantastic song for driving in the morning right after you woke up. Try it sometime.

    Open Road Songs:

    December, Shine - Collective Soul

Show Don't Tell, S&A Album, Roll The Bones Album - Rush

Rotten Apple, Dirt, Private Hell - Alice In Chains

Sin, Where The River Goes - Stone Temple Pilots

  3. I'm dragging everyone i know to the Clockwork Angels tour. It will be spectacular. Hell, if the funds are there, ill road trip to a couple nearby cities and get multiple shows in.

Seeing Rush live will probably be history in five years, but the music won't be.

  4. Yeah the earth could probably support many more than 7 billion people... for a while. Don't know if thats sustainable for a long period of time. There's also quality of life concerns to factor in. The nicer people want to live, the less is left for everyone else. In my lifetime that number will probably hit nine or ten billion...

Haha thats actually a good meme

  6. I don't know why the chat isn't very active on this site... People here are amusing, but don't want to talk in a non-thread setting. I had a thread for this two weeks ago.... And nobody cared.

Jeez, they should re-name this thread "Pedophile Heaven"

Wow and what makes you state such a bigot-y view as that?

    Bigoty?

Just because it's an Internet meme doesn't alter the fact that it's lamer than a one legged football team.

First, I've never seen the show, and am not a brony.

But, "Jeez, they should re-name this thread Pedophile Heaven" is an impressively retarded statement from yourself. Did you read the thread? Hell i actually learned something about why people watch it at all upon reading this thread.

From statements gathered in this thread, people out of the target demographic watch it because there's humor, and they prefer it over other animated offerings. Its not the first time people wildly outside a shows' target demographic have gotten hooked. So what's "pedophile" related about that? I haven't seen any 'brony' in this thread make a weird or creepy statement. Troll much?

That's cool if you're not into it, I'm not either. But maybe next time keep the stupid statements to yourself, live and let live, yeah?

  8. Any bad mention of Rush at all? Quick everyone! Refer to whoever wrote it as a dumbass! No one can dare poke a laugh at an album cover! Those people should be fired, or something! And f*** Yahoo! They're like, stupid, and stuff!

It reminds me of teenagers who write horrible poetry about life when all they've experienced is what they've seen on television or observed hanging out at Starbucks.

That would be wonderful it it were actually true. Peart had spent a year in England while still in his teens and they all had several years experience of grueling traveling across the country playing in bars and arenas by the time the song was written.

I'm curious if you would have as much of a problem with Dog Years if the words doggie and canine were switched. Though 'canine heaven' wouldn't have sung as well which was most likely the main consideration.

The song doesn't need a thesaurus, it needs a complete subject change. Melodically its a good song, and i listen to it every so often, tuning out the vocals. It does a good job of fitting in with the sound of the rest of the album.

  10. What pissed me off yesterday? My window at school was down half an inch for the heat, and someone hangered the window, and took my ipod. I was worried because there was also a $100 stereo, $150 subs, and $500 laptop in the car. Would've been off the charts if they would've taken any of that stuff.
  11. It was a crumbling experience we all needed to see. He is pretty off the wagon, and its funny to see that. He derailed my grandparents' favorite show.

Favorite line of the night, by Shatner, "Charlie, I'm... 80 now, and you're what, 47? Why do we look like we went to high school together?"

I saw "AFTK" up there. Uh, perfect? No?

    My limited nominations are

    Dirt by Alice In Chains
Rush mention goes to Moving Pictures or Power Windows
    Master Of Puppets, I agree
    Some Zeppelin album

    You dismiss AFTK yet nominate MP as perfect? rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif rofl3.gif

Most definitely. Madrigal and Cinderella Man rule out any possibility of that album being well rounded to the point of perfection. Moving Pictures, as a whole, flows seamlessly. Just like Power Windows.

  13. BU2B doesn't seem too "wide open for interpretation". I agree that it sounds like Neil yelling about god. Maybe after thirteen years of his ex-wife being gone, he still has resentment to any higher power, at all.
