Some more tweets from Dominic Nardella (@nardboy):

"New Rush song sounds like updated "By-Tor." Epic, cool guitar break downs. "I stoke the fires of the big steel wheels...""

"feels like by-tor... epic, weird talking part in the middle, ged's bass sounds phenomenal"

"goes to rock radio on 4/19 (maybe a tad sooner)..."

    Updated By-tor?! yes.gif

Talking part in the middle? Sounds like B-Tor mixed with roll The Bones (sort of).

Definitely sounds interesting. Really sounds like the guys DID get into a time machine and channeled something from back in the 70's, not 80-91 as has been reported elsewhere.

I am starting to go common001.gif with anticipation.

Roll the Bones or Double Agent (I hope DA because that song is pure badass)

lets hope there's nothing that resembles roll the bones on the new album.

Would've been interesting if they'd gone a little further into Counterparts-esque material.

The new album will probably blow everyone's mind. I don't know why S&A hasn't reached gold or platinum status (*cough piracy) but Clockwork Angels deserves to.

Like everyone else, I'm extremely excited for Clockwork Angels, and the fall tour. But when the Time Machine Tour was announced, I got my hands on the setlist as fast as i could and stared it downtil the concert. This left little surprise in my mind during the show.

I think for this tour (one of the last) I'm gonna do myself a personal favorite and absolutely not take a peek at the setlist before the show... Complete surprise every time a song ends, wondering what the next song will be..

It sure wasn't fun the last two years knowing exactly how many songs were left before the show was over.

Has anyone ever starved themselves of the playlist before the tour? Was it worth it?

if you don't know the setlist you can't plan your pee breaks accordingly.

I wouldn't miss any song on purpose just to take a piss. They could play I Think I'm Going Bald and I would sit through it.

my ass would be jumping up and down like crazy for i think im going bald

    fix'd

No band evolves as much as Rush, though still keeping their signature sound.

Evolution is the key to survival. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif If Rush had stayed stagnant, like so many other bands have done, they would have broken up long ago. It doesn't matter if some fans don't like this album or that album.....as long as Rush stays creative and experimental in what they do, then I will always buy their albums without hesitation. 1022.gif 1022.gif 1022.gif

  5. Kidding!

    Sorry, got bored.

MOD EDIT: The OP thought it would be funny if he posted a thread with the following title:

    Alex Lifeson of Rush hospitalized!

Downtown Toronto crash injures four more

Not funny, and just plain stupid. If you're that bored, maybe you need a hobby.

  7. Shit, maybe i should get my friend who works night-shifts at walmart to get me the hookups a few days early. Then i'll be the coolest cat on the block

  8. Paying a mortgage and occasional home repairs sounds a hell of a lot better than renting a 2500sq ft house. In my neighborhood that'd probably be $2,000 a month rent. $24,000 a year to not actually own anything? I might as well lease a Mercedes S-Class.

    Can't go wrong with a Toyota.I got a 01 pre-runner.
    A buddy of mine's got a 87 toy truck..still tickin-- barely!
    I had a 88 truck,but got it totaled in 2000. Still miss
that one..but the one I got now is so much better.
    It was a total up-grade.

96 and up toyota trucks (Tacomas) are niiice. Excellent powertrains, good mileage, indestructible rear Toyota axle.

I'm happy in my 87 4runner but im only getting 16mpg.....

  10. I'm obsessive about very random things, usually car-related. I hate things like cruising over 3000rpm's, having dual-zone climate control trying to make the car 2 different temperatures, I haaate minor running issues, hate being forced to inch up an uphill grade in a manual car. lol
