  1. QUOTE (Rush! @ Nov 2 2007, 12:11 AM) I hate that pronounciation... not to denounce the people who pronounce it that way, but it sounds so stupid to me. YYZee is how I say it. I feel the same about the Zee pronounciation.
  2. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Nov 1 2007, 11:40 PM) Canadians say YYZed. Yes. Zed is also the British pronunciation.
  3. Geddy sings rather low at the start of The Trees. "...more sunlight, but the oaks ignore their pleas."
  4. I think that the highest note on Signals is the B4 on Analog Kid. I may be wrong though. The highest note on Vapor Trail must surely be in Secret Touch. Is it C#5?
  5. QUOTE (fledgehog @ Oct 14 2007, 03:42 AM) Going through the posts in order... The highest note in "Circumstances" is a D5 The highest note in "Freewill" is an F5 The highest note in "Available Light" is a D5 The highest note in "No One at the Bridge" is a G5 The highest note in "Cygnus X-1" is an A#/Bb5 The highest note in "2112" is a G5 The highest note in "Marathon" is a C5 (I think...I'm not positive, I'll have to go back and listen again) The highest note in "Anthem" is an E5 The highest note in "Bastille Day" is an E5 The highest note in "Finding My Way" is an E5 The highest note in "Fly By Night" is an F#/Gb5 So there's your definate answer, coming from a guy with perfect pitch. As per OP's request, I used only studio recordings for this. I make the high notes in Marathon C#, which Geddy also reaches in Red Barchetta, and I believe Secret Touch from Vapor Trails. I think that Geddy's highest note on Snakes & Arrows is B(4?) which he sings in Far Cry. Any others?
  6. Power Windows is starting to finally grow on me after 3 years of owning the album, but Hold Your Fire remains my least favourite Rush album. I'll try to listen to it again in the next couple of months.
  7. I voted for Power Windows. By the way, I really wish that Rush would remaster Vapor Trails. I'd listen to it more then.
  8. I have voted for Hemispheres. It was the first Rush album that I owned, in April 2004. The first time I was exposed to Rush was when I watched Live In Rio round my best friends house down in GA. It was YYZ which first had me interested, and then maybe The Camera Eye from Moving Pictures.
