My wife and I have been fighting a lot.  Trust issues and all that....

Today, she put on her newly bought slim-fit sweater & jeans and asked me, "Do these make me look fat?"
 

I said, "Yes, they do."
 

She gave me a huge hug and kiss, as I had finally stopped lying to her.

The pretentiousness of "What you need to know" really irks me.  It's a major pet peeve of mine.

It would be fine if the headlines said, "Here's what we know." 

It at least suggest that the reporters actually did some research and learned something.....  

A simple Google search this morning returned the following headlines:

My girlfriend’s dog died, so I bought her another one just like it.   

She yelled at me: “What am I supposed to do with two dead dogs?!!”

Indeed it is!  I give it an A+ grade, but there is one line in it that really annoyed me:

You know what surprised me the most? It wasn't meeting them. It was meeting you.

That last sentence was so predictable, I bet everyone who had watched the film said it before Ian said it!    I said it.  I've heard other people say it.    

This armchair director would have changed that line.  Maybe something like....

You know, I've had my head tilted up to the stars for as long as I can remember.

But now that the stars are here, I'd rather look at you.    (or something like that...) 

On another website, there was a discussion of "Your least favorite vegetable".    

Come ON....if anyone were to make a list of "Favorite Vegetables", would it ever be long enough to include a "Least favorite"?

You know, that Ben Gardner took quite a liking to Hooper.  He always kept an eye out for him.  

The negative numbers are gone!   High of 19° today, 35 tomorrow, mid to upper 30's all week!  Mid 40's next week!

The Packers played great for 43 minutes, then faltered.  Even then, they could have won the game.  As always, 2-3 are the difference in big games.  

In spite of this huge wave of disappointment and dejection, I would say:

• The Packers gave the 49ers all they could handle. That's what I wanted to see.
• I bet the 49ers will crush whomever they play next.
• The Packers did themselves proud. They came *this close* to the NFC Championship Game.
• Jordan Love learned some valuable lessons tonight. He will be better next year.
• The Packers should be loaded next year. Get some high quality draft picks (big men, I hope). A more experienced WR and TE corps. Another stud RB to help Jones and Wilson.
• Can't wait for the Draft!

I have a bad feeling about this.
