  1. a number of purchases will be made tomorrow (_5_3_05 should be a holiday). But until then, I bought a couple things to tie me over till then. Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds (UK import single) The Dresden Dolls - A Is For Accident (live album, autographed by both Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione)
  2. NP sullysue. Btw, you can stream the entire new NIN album, "With Teeth" at thier myspace site
  3. KICK ASS. I am sure she knows just how incredibly Pierce Brosnen fits into the role of Bond and probably got all the actors together to not be apart of the movie unless Brosnen is in it. Very good news
  4. http://www.nin.com/tour/posters/4_27-28_05_sf.jpg Oh btw, they are selling these lithographs at the show, they made different ones for each night of the tour. I bought one at Reno when I went to see them last month, had the Fresno, Reno and Davis shows listed on it. I checked on ebay, one sold for over $300. I think I might have to pick up 2 of these SF lithographs tonight Will give another full report in a couple days after my concerts are over
  5. I remember wearing my 2112 shirt (cover of 2112, no starman) to a ballet once, all the girls I knew there who hadnt seen me in like 3 years saw this guy with long hair and a supposed pentagram on his shirt. I bet they all thought I turned goth or something.
  6. ummm..... Way to go destroying Chris Reeve's character
  7. QUOTE (esmeralda @ Apr 14 2005, 11:01 AM) Nice list Moon! I'm going to see Black Sabbath and Velvet Revolver AND Rammstein ofcourse on the Fields of Rock Festival on June 18th. As a former Guns'n Roses fan I'm curious about Velvet Revolver.. As a Rammstein fan I'm going to enjoy their show for the third time! Thanks, I saw VR last year before they made it big, they really cranked it out. You could definatly tell they were on thier way to becoming as big as they are now, that was back at the beginning of thier whole touring thing which is still going on now. Would be nice though if they play some new GnR or STP songs when they come back, from what I have been reading the setlist have been pretty much the same for the last year.
  8. It pays to be fast........ The radio station I listen to ran a promotional thing this morning, offering tickets to the Oasis/Kasabian/Jet concert in September 3 days earlier then they go on sale (this Sunday). Do to my fast fingers, I managed to score 4 FRONT ROW tickets to the thing. LOL, tell you the truth, I didnt plan on taking anyone with me, I just wanted to see if I could get extra tickets that were close. Total price to me was a little over 200, but I think I might be able to make that back now --- Moonraker's Current Concert Schedule, 2005 3/19 - Trilogy (Concord, CA) 3/24 - Nine Inch Nails (Reno, NV) 3/25 - Nine Inch Nails (Davis, CA) 4/09 - Motorhead (San Francisco, CA) 4/19 - Velvet Revolver (San Francisco, CA) 4/27 - Nine Inch Nails (San Francisco, CA) 4/28 - Nine Inch Nails (San Francisco, CA) 5/16 - Audioslave (San Francisco, CA) 6/03 - The Mars Volta (Berkeley, CA) *8/13 - Ozzfest, Black Sabbath/Iron Maiden ( Mountain View, CA) *8/06 - The Black Crows (San Francisco, CA) *9/11 - Oasis/Kasabian/Jet (Mountain View, CA) * - Newly added dates to my list. 18. I have to admit, the only one I really enjoyed (oh man and let me tell you how much I enjoyed this movie) was the first one. When it came out in 1993, I was 9 years old and totally obsessed. At that point, I already had 4 or 5 thick paleontology books and decided my life goal was to become one. This movie was perfection for me then. So I read the book before I even saw the movie, then watched the movie to see the differences in the two. Then the second one came out. I saw it in the theatre, was extremely excited about it, but it wasnt anything new to me. It seemed like the exact same situations that had gone on in the first movie. IE, The raptors in the kitchen scene akin to the girl gymnast in the worn down building scene. The T-Rex chasing the car through the woods scene akin to the T-Rex chasing the car down the street scene. It just wasnt anything new. I was so disappointed with how similar this movie turned out that I havent even seen the 3rd one. It is my feeling they already screwed up the franchise by making a 2nd movie, so if they make a 4th, it is meaningless. Hollywood has no creative spark anymore.
  19. Well, I am off to have the best few days I have had since the first time I saw Ruhs live in 2002. Talk to you guys later this weekend, I will have reviews for both shows for those that are interested.
  20. Leaving tonight for a Reno and then Davis on Friday to catch 2 Nine Inch Nails shows, the 2nd and 3rd performance they will be doing in over 5 years. Tonight will be the first in Fresno, but I cant drive all the way to Fresno less then an hour after a math midterm. This week is going to be inCREDIBLE!
  21. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Mar 23 2005, 08:41 AM) http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0503/california_palomar_c54.jpg Explanation: Drifting through the Orion Arm of the spiral Milky Way Galaxy, this cosmic cloud by chance echoes the outline of California on the west coast of the United States. Our own Sun also lies within the Milky Way's Orion Arm, only about 1,500 light-years from the California Nebula. Also known as NGC 1499, the classic emission nebula is around 100 light-years long. It glows with the red light characteristic of hydrogen atoms recombining with long lost electrons, stripped away (ionized) by energetic starlight. In this case, the star most likely providing the energetic starlight is the bright, hot, bluish Xi Persei, just right of the nebula and above picture center. Fittingly, this composite picture was made with images from a telescope in California - the 48-inch (1.2-meter) Samuel Oschin Telescope - taken as a part of the second National Geographic Palomar Observatory Sky Survey. Sure it may look like California... but I dont see San Francisco Bay anywhere. I think the nebula is biased towards socal people. socal O_o
