I've been following Del Toros ten year battle to make this film with extreme interest as a lifelong Lovecraft fan....I believe he is the man for the job as he has repeatedly resisted Hollywood pressure to add any happy endings or romance into it, both items noteable by their absence in Lovecraft stories!

 

Has anyone else heard any more news on this?...I would love to see it being made, but as other directors have said, it's almost unfilmable, though I believe Del Toro could pull it off if anyone can.
